The Switch held a unique position as a hybrid game console until the recent release of the Steam Deck, meaning that Nintendo suddenly has a lot more competition in the market. Nintendo consoles haven’t been considered cutting edge in regard to performance and graphics since the N64, and seeing as some have hailed the Steam Deck as being somewhat future-proof, this does seem like a prime time for Nintendo to focus its efforts on a Switch 2. With that in mind, some may be quite hesitant in purchasing a Switch now, even as part of a special bundle. Once more, considering the continued great sales of theSwitchand the recentaddition of Game Boy games, there is still a chance that Nintendo will continue to support the console for some time to come.
