With all the hype and hubbub surrounding the organically multiplying collection ofStar Warsshows coming out, it almost seems like it would be impossible for any info leak to trump what people already know. Featuring tons of the worst-kept secrets this side of Marvel, upcoming shows likeAhsokaalmost seem like they could hardly surprise fans at this point. But it looks like one star may have tested that theory.

Rosario Dawson, who is set to play the lead onAhsokaafter appearing as the character via cameos onThe MandalorianandThe Book of Boba Fett, apparently got a bit of a finger-wagging fromStar Warsexecutives recently. Ironically, it was for teasing a reunion many fans pretty much already knew would happen. After sharing a headline that suggested Hayden Christensen would appear onAhsokato reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Dawson quickly received a less-than-enthused response from Lucasfilm.

Back in October, Dawson discovered a headline that speculated on the idea thatChristensen would play Anakin once againonAhsoka. This was along with his already confirmed appearance on the upcomingObi-Wan Kenobiseries alongside Ewan McGregor in his own triumphant return as the title character. Dawson then shared the headline on Instagram, adding a caption to the post heavily teasing that it was actually true. “Skyguy…They know!!! See you soon, Snips,” she said, referencing the affectionate nicknames the 2 characters gave each other in the animatedThe Clone Warsseries.

The thing is, apparently, the headline was only a rumor. So certain higher-ups at Disney and Lucasfilm weren’t exactly thrilled that Dawson had potentially leaked something so huge. “I looked in my email, andStar Warswas like, ‘You might want to take that down,'” she revealed in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. “I’m like, ‘Man, I can’t be trusted.'” Dawson didn’t even realize the referencedarticle supposedly confirming Christensen’s involvement inAhsokawas just based on rumors until later, leaving her to quietly delete the post and hope that was that.

Even now, however, Dawson and Lucasfilm refuse to confirm whether she really was coyly confirming an appearance by Christensen or if it was simply a joke on her part to mess with fans a bit. Just like the Jedi, they certainly love their secrets. Either way,Ahsokais sure to offer some pretty satisfying new stories for fans of the character. “[The fans] have such a relationship with her,” showrunner and newStar Warslegend Dave Filoni said of the series’ importance. “I’ve only recently started to understand that all those kids that watchedClone Warsare now a lot older—they’re very excited about all the things they grew up with, as they should be.”

Even without knowing whether or not Anakin will show up, there’s a lot to look forward to withAhsoka. Between the confirmed live-action debut ofNatasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine WrenfromStar Wars Rebelsand the rumored appearance of both Ezra Bridger from the same series and even Grand Admiral Thrawn, there’s bound to be something forStar Warsfans of all generations.
