A new patch has gone out forAnimal Crossing: New Horizons.In it are several updates for known bugs in both theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsbase game and theHappy Home ParadiseDLC.
This is the second update since the release of theHappy Home ParadiseDLCand offers miscellaneous fixes for minor issues that players may encounter while playing. The update will be installed automatically in most cases. But, to double-check, players can go into the System Settings on their Switch, select Data Management, then Manage Software, and finally selectAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsto see the version listed. This patch is version 2.0.2.

While there isn’t anything major or groundbreaking in this update, it shows that Nintendo is still paying close attention toAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsandlistening to player feedback. Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise DLC Fixes
Much like the base game update, this patch isn’t adding too much to theHappy Home ParadiseDLC. Instead, it’s resolving a host of issues that players may run into and thus improving the overall experience. Particularly troubling for players were the issues that could potentially lead to the game crashing outright. But with those in the past, and the update trend leaning towards more regular updates, players should be content in the seemingly bright future of the game and DLC.
Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s Happy Home ParadiseDLC was released on July 24, 2025, to much fanfare. Since then, the game has received two updates including this one. Both of the updates resolved a number of issues impacting players in both the base game and the DLC. Overall, theHappy Home ParadiseDLC has been largely well-received by both critics and fans alike. It has seen a resurgence of players returning to their islands to add new features and design new vacation homes for their favorite villagers. There are a number of new features to enjoy including the return of several beloved characters, decorating of seasonal homes, and the addition of Brewster’s Cafe.
