In a recent live stream,Twitchstreamer Asmongold shed some light on what, exactly, he wanted to see come out of the potential reset ofWorld of Warcraft Classicservers. Asmongold is one of the most prominentTwitchstreamers and other content creators working inWorld of Warcraftand MMORPG circles–or rather, he was before he apparently stopped playingWorld of Warcraftentirely in favor ofFinal Fantasy 14.
During the video, the streamer shared his wishlist of changes he would like to see Activision Blizzard implement inWorld of Warcraft, a game that he has criticized heavily and described ashaving a toxic community. With rumors ofWorld of Warcraft Classicpotentially getting a refresh circulating, Asmongold has decided to make it clear what Blizzard would have to do in order to lure him back.

Asmongold’s wishlist begins with a relatively simple request for the developers to not allow mages to be level-boosted, with the less simple alternative of buffing all other EXP at least three times. He also requested they remove the price to re-specialize your character’s talents, add an area of effect looting mechanic, and enhance the character customization options. He also addressedWorld of Warcraft’s perceived lack of growthby asking for harder fights on older content with a focus on bringing in new mechanics, more raids in general, and a rebalancing of classes.
The streamer stated that he would like to see more new classes added, but he also raised the possibility of making certain existing classes faction-exclusive. Specifically, he suggested that Death Knights and Demon Hunters be made exclusive to the Horde and the Alliance respectively. The two classes fill similar roles in terms of lore and aesthetics, and the Death Knights appear to need some time and attention to help them stand out now that the Demon Hunters have been added. As of writing, he doesn’t seem to have gone afterWorld of Warcraft’s subscription-based model, instead trying to ensure fans are paying for a genuinely fun and evolving experience.
Finally, Asmongold laid out a series of quality of life changes that he hopes would make playingWorld of Warcraft Classica more seamless experience. The list includes the premade group finder, Mount and Pet tabs, and the Achievement system, all of which have already been added to the retail version ofWorld of Warcraft. While making all of these changes would be amassive undertaking on Activision Blizzard’s part, the results might be enough to bringWorld of Warcraftback into the spotlight as well as intoTwitchstreamer Asmongold’s good graces.
