Updated Jun 28, 2025, by Joe Grantham:There are dozens of Two-Handed weapons in Baldur’s Gate 3, and in terms of raw damage, their power is only rivaled by the very best One-Handed weapons. With Larian Studios' epic remaining as popular as ever, it is important that players have all the relevant stats, effects, and locations of even more of the best BG3 Two-Handed weapons. While many of the top-tier items are found in Act 3 or the later stages of Act 2, there are nevertheless a few hidden gems earlier in the game. With the arrival of Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3, all of these weapons can be enjoyed alongside mods installed directly from the game itself.

Dolor Amarus:Upon landing a Critical Hit, deal an extra 7 damage.
If players have a build that allows them to land crits more often, theVicious Battleaxecan be a great pickup, as it will deal an extra 7 damage. For example, the Championsubclass for Fightersmeans the roll needed for crits is reduced by 1, and there are a few other similar buffs. As a Versatile weapon, it can be wielded in one hand or both, but it has a higher damage potential when two hands are used.

To get the Vicious Battleaxe, players will need to reach the city of Baldur’s Gate in Act 3, and upon arriving at the Murder Tribunal, they will need to side with Bhaal, becoming an Unholy Assassin. This will allow them to purchase gear from Echo of Abazigal, including this Battleaxe.

Very Rare
Lethal Weapon:This weapon ignores Bludgeoning Resistance.
For those who want a two-handedBG3weapon that can smash foes where they stand, theFoebreakeris a great option. Not only does it have great base damage, but it also boasts a Weapon Enchantment of +2, meaning attacks are more likely to land in the first place. Furthermore, it ignores Bludgeoning Resistance, which means no foes are safe from the full might of this Maul.
Players will need to wait for Act 3 to obtain this weapon, however, and they will first want to head toward the magical emporium known as Sorcerous Sundries. Upon finding and entering the Sorcerous Vault, they should locate the Karsus section. Inside, they will require the help of anunderratedBG3spell, See Invisibility, to spot a chest that contains the Foebreaker.

1d10 + 1 Slashing
If players are looking for something more supportive to wield in both hands, then the LongswordPhalar Aluveis a good option. Players have the option to choose between Sing and Shriek with the former buffing their teammates' damage and the latter negatively affecting enemies.

As these effects last for 5 turns and are distributed at a fairly wide range, this sword can have a significant impact on fights, and can even be used again after a Short Rest. Best of all is the fact that Phalar Aluve is found in Act 1. More specifically, it is located inside a rock to the northwest of the Selunite Oupost in the Underdark.
1d10 + 2 Piercing + 1d4 Force

N/A
There aren’t manyPikes inBaldur’s Gate 3, but there is one standout; theBreaching Pikestaff. While it doesn’t have any special abilities, it deals 1d4 Force damage in addition to Piercing foes, and with a +2 Weapon Enchantment, it is sufficiently reliable.
The true downside, however, is that players have to wait till Act 3 to get their hands on the Breaching Pikestaff. It is found within the Ancient Lair, a location accessed via a tunnel to the west of the waypoint for the Undercity Ruins. It should be fairly easy to spot as it is resting on a coffin.

1d10 + 2 Slashing + 1d4 Radiant
Moonlight Butterflies:Strike a foe, spawning an illusion and gaining Advantage against them. Bonus Psychic damage is dealt, and if they step away from the illusion, they take even more.

Glaives inBaldur’s Gate 3aren’t typically the most popular, but the best of them can be powerful. This is especially true of theMoonlight Glaive, which deals bonus Radiant damage. It also has a +2 Weapon Enchantment, making it reliable for successful hits.
The Moonlight Butterflies action is great when used first, as any successive attacks will be performed with Advantage. To get the Moonlight Glaive, players simply need to let the Nightsong live in Act 2, and then wait to be rewarded.

1d12 + 2 Slashing
Sethanis a Greataxe with good damage, but its standout feature is the ability to summon a spiritual twin of this Two-Handed weapon. Players are also able to make creatures smaller and provide them with a penalty to deal less damage.
Although Sethan is acquired in Act 3, it is available right at the start of this new chapter, meaning players can get plenty of use out of it. It can be bought from Ferg Drogher in Rivington, although players will need to pass a Perception Check, andif Shadowheart is present, she must have embraced Shar.
1d10 + 2 Slashing + 6 Poison
TheHellbeard Halberdis easily one of the most reliable Two-Handed weapons as, unlike in most other cases, its bonus damage is set at a fixed amount, rather than determined by the roll of a die. This means that every time an attack is successful, players can expect to see their foe take at least 6 Poison damage, on top of up to 12 Slashing damage.
To find the Hellbeard Halberd, players will need to enter the Devil’s Fee shop in the Lower City during Act 3. However, as part of the trader’s special stock, this Halberd is only sold by Helsik if the party is able to see at least one of her diabolical items. This requires passing Perception Checks.
2d6 + 2 Slashing + 1d4 Necrotic
Chaos:On a hit, regain 1d6 hit points
Greatswords are among the best options for raw damage, and theSword of Chaosis no different in this regard, especially with an extra 1d4 Necrotic damage. The ability to regain health on each successful hit can not be overlooked either, as melee characters using two hands for their weapon are more vulnerable withoutthe protection of a shield.
To get their hands on the Sword of Chaos, players will need to find the Murder Tribunal during Act 3 of the game, and kill Sarevok Anchev
1d10 + 2 Slashing + 1d4 Psychic
Voss' Silver Swordis the best Longsword in the game, and yet, incredibly, it can be acquired very early on. Not only does it do amazing damage when wielded with two hands, but it is also even more effective versus four different kinds of enemies and comes with a Smite spell.
As its name implies, this sword belongs to Kith’rak Voss, and players can confront him in Acts 1 or 2, where they will likely need to use trickery to disarm him. Alternatively, they can wait to purchase it from him in Act 3.
1d10 + 3 Bludgeoning
While theOrphic Hammerand the otherbest Warhammers inBG3can be used with one hand, they all deal more damage in two hands. This Legendary weapon has a Weapon Enchantment +3, meaning it not only deals more damage but also makes attacks more likely to hit in the first place, especially against opponents with high AC.
To get either or both of their hands on the Orphic Hammer, players will either have to sign a contract with Raphael or steal it from him in the House of Hope. Either way, players must have reached Act 3.
