Wrath of the White WitchandRevenant Kingdomfans now have the option to experience the franchise’s take on the isekai-via-virtual reality trend seen in a lot of anime viaNi no Kuni: Cross Worlds. In thisNi no Kunititle, players are beta testers of a game called “Soul Divers” in a test period that goes haywire because of a mysterious conspiracy. Players, as their particular Class, need to be able to save the game world from certain doom since it appears to be connected with the real one.

With the fate of two worlds resting on the palms of the players, they may feel a bit pressured to choose their preferred Class. However, it might help with their decision to identify Classes with thebest Passives inNi no Kuni: Cross Worlds, or constant traits that improve their performance in the game.

Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Engineer - Fast Trick

10Fast Trick (Engineer)

The Engineer serves as the main AOE damager of the game, specializing in unleashing various weapons to obliterate foes all at once. This poses a tricky challenge for players: to ensure that the Engineer can constantly deal damage, as any lag time can leave them wide open for mobs. Thanks toFast Trick, Engineers have less chance of missing out on their cooldowns should a rotation go wrong.

At its core, Fast Trick gives Engineers a chance to reduce all of their cooldowns by a second whenever they attack. This reduction only happens once every 15 seconds. Despite the rather “long” lag time, a properly-timed rotation can give Engineers a two-rotation gap between these one-second CD reductions. At the hands of the right player, a second is worth a lot in securing damage.

9Emergency Maneuvers (Witch)

Sometimes, defense is the best offense, and this is more apparent with regards to the Witch. Serving as the game’smost potent spellcaster, the Witch is more of a soloist in her ability to take down foes from afar and ensure they don’t ever approach her. However, as a single-target specialist, it’s no question that she can often become a target of other foes. Thankfully,Emergency Maneuverscan help with her survival in that regard.

Through this ability, the Witch enjoys buffed evasion whenever she takes damage. This can stack as much as five times as well. In tricky situations where some opponents have to be fought directly, this extra movement can be a lifesaver for the Witch, especially since she doesn’t have a lot of defensive opportunities.

8Just Guard (Destroyer)

Being the frontline tank, the Destroyer needs to guarantee that he’s always healthy and durable to keep the line of defense tight. Since he doesn’t have damage barrier abilitiesunlike tanks in other games such asPokemon, the Destroyer needs to be durable enough to outlast foes and eliminate them before they pose a threat to opponents. Thankfully,Just Guardgives him just that – a better chance of survival.

Through this Passive, the Destroyer receives a chance to reduce all incoming damage for seven seconds whenever he takes hits. This ability stacks indefinitely, meaning a Destroyer enjoying combat against multiple mobs can stack damage reduction and receive much less damage from foes. In a game where the tank is probably the most straightforward damager, Just Guard is a great addition to defense.

7Conversion (Engineer)

Based on the Engineer’s toolkit, she’s the best Class suited for maximizing healing for the entire party. Thanks to her AOE capabilities, she can keep foes at bay while healing the team at the same time, but panicky players may overuse their heals in dangerous situations. Thankfully,Conversionensures the excess HP from heals are put to good use.

Through this Passive, Engineers can enjoy a nifty barrier should they overheal themselves. This can be extremely useful when paired with her other Passives, such as Barrier Mastery which boosts her crowd control resistance when under a barrier.

6Death Hunter (Rogue)

Joining theranks of video game archers, the Rogue serves as the long-range specialist inNi no Kuni: Cross Worlds. However, unlike the more AOE-oriented Engineer, the Rogue specializes in taking foes one at a time and ensuring they don’t get near enough to hit him back. Theoretically, the Rogue’s abilities can either push enemies or himself away to safety. But in very dangerous moments, the Rogue’s best escape from being targeted is to eliminate the enemy first. This is whereDeath Huntercomes in.

Courtesy of this Passive, the Rogue can enjoy boosted damage whenever he’s targeted. Not only that, this effect can stack up to seven times. Theoretically, a Rogue in mid-range can attract the attention of foes and attack them as much as possible until they get near. And then, using his abilities, the Rogue can either slow them down or run away to repeat the cycle.

5Death Seal (Swordsman)

The Swordsman specializes in taking down foes up close and personal, and especially in never giving them the chance to counter-attack. The Swordsman can only ordinarily do this if he has high-enough attack speed since this lets him attack twice as fast when opponents can simply hit him a few times in any given situation. To ensure this Class’s survival in fast-paced encounters, guaranteed stuns can give him the time he needs to counter, andDeath Sealis quite a nifty ability in this situation.

Thanks to his Passive, the Swordsman has the chance of transforming his normal attacks into improved normals with stunning capabilities. Considering how enemies can easily overwhelm the party, his normals receiving a stunning property can become the difference between tricky encounters and a dead party.

4Oath Of Revenge (Destroyer)

The Destroyer serves as the archetypal tank inCross Worlds, and in turn, shares a straightforward mechanic with his tanking peers in other games: outlast opponents through sheer defense. However, the Destroyer doesn’t necessarily have to steal aggro or beef up the defenses of his allies. Rather, he ensures that opponents get obliterated even before they get to touch their friends. While this can prove tricky when against mobs, the Destroyer can rely onOath Of Revengeto guarantee his survival.

At its core, Oath Of Revenge ensures that the Destroyer has a chance to fight back in the face of a strong-enough opponent. In the event they receive huge damage, the Destroyer enjoys a defense, attack speed, and movement speed buff. This ensures the Destroyer has an ample chance of returning the favor to a tough opponent.

3Quick Move (Rogue)

Unlikesome other MMOswhere the Rogue evolves into quite a speedy melee specialist, the Rogue inCross Worldsis instead a ranged specialist. Although a single-target fighter unlike the Engineer, the Rogue can obliterate foes quite easily courtesy of attacks that never let opponents get near him. However, on the off-chance that enemies do get fast enough to catch up to him, the Rogue can definitely get stuck in a bind. Thankfully, players can rely onQuick Moveto secure the Rogue’s survival.

Through this Passive, the Rogue can enjoy boosted attack and movement speed for five seconds for every five normal attacks they do. Considering the frequency of the Rogue’s attacks as an offensive Class, players can enjoy higher-than-usual speeds in most combat situations. Considering the Rogue’s hit-and-run strategy, Quick Move is definitely an asset to take advantage of.

2Defense Call (Swordsman)

The Swordsman serves asCross Worlds' frontline melee attacker. Whereas the Destroyer emphasizes defense, the Swordsman specializes in wiping out enemies up close. As such, this Class can act as a secondary tank aside from his damage specialization, thanks to his sheer speed in taking out enemies nearby. A great way to ensure the Swordsman’s survival in this regard is through defense, which is somethingDefense Callcan do.

With this Passive, the Swordsman enjoys a chance to boost the party’s overall defense through his normal attacks. This is a big deal, especially for a Swordsman with high-enough attack speed. He can process continuous defensive buffs through his hits, which the less hardy of the Classes could enjoy.

1Rapid Stream (Witch)

Considering the role of the Witch as the game’s offensive magic powerhouse, she’s probably the best suited to handling single-to-multi-enemy incursions. While the AOE-oriented Engineer is definitely suited to eliminate multiple opponents at once, the Witch’s naturally-high damage numbers make her a more viable offensive option. And withRapid Stream, the Witch is all the more equipped to be one of the best offensive supports inNi no Kuni: Cross Worlds.

Thanks to this Passive, the Witch’s normal attacks have the opportunity to boost the party’s attack speed. This is a big deal for the Witch, as her normal attacks alone can reduce the enemy’s defense up to five times (Armor Crash, Passive) and even get crits after eight basic attacks (Bright Mirror, Passive). However, the added attack speed bonus to the party can significantly procc their normal attack-related buffs as well, greatly improving their performance as well.
