With numerous leaks, rumors, and official teases coming over the years, fans are more intrigued than ever aboutBluepoint Games’next big project. The developer behind2018’s universally acclaimed remake ofShadow of the Colossusas well as 2015’sTheNathan Drake Collection, it’s been common knowledge for some time that the studio is working on its most expansive remake to date.
Many have speculated that, whatever this long-awaited project turns out to be,Bluepoint Games will announce its existence at the PS5 reveal later today, with the timing feeling perfect for the studio to make a huge announcement. Luckily, it seems Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier wholeheartedly agrees, with the notoriously reputable journalist teasing on Twitter that Bluepoint fans will be very happy when the conference airs in a few hours' time.

Tweeting about thePS5 reveal, Schreier claims “most of what I’ve heard about is already public and/or heavily rumored,” answering a fan who asked the journalist for some hints about what to expect from the broadcast. He does go on to tease, however, that “I think the Bluepoint speculation (and people making ResetEra threads based on my Twitter likes) will finally come to an end.” It seems as though Schreier believes Bluepoint’s secret project is finally ready to be unveiled, which is sure to be a big incentive for eager fans to tune into Sony’s event.
In terms of what Bluepoint’s newest release is, it seems an overwhelming number of rumors and leaks have pointed towards the title being aDemon Soulsremake. As many will know, the cult-classic was the beginning of the Soulsborne genre, with FromSoftware’s first dive into its notoriously challenging RPG formula leading to the much more iconic release ofDark Soulsin 2011. Others have claimed Bluepoint’s remake could beMetal Gear Solid, Jak and Daxter, Legacy of Kain,or even theLegend of Dragoon.
Some have even claimed more recently that Bluepoint is working on aBloodbornePS5 remasteralongside the development of itsDemon Soulsremake. All in all, it seems the company is working on some exciting projects, and hopefully, fans will get to know exactly what these upcoming releases are later today. Alongside Bluepoint’s title, many are hoping that blockbuster announcements likeHorizon 2orGod of War 2will be included in the conference, so it goes without saying that Sony’s first big PlayStation 5 reveal event will definitely be one to watch regardless.
