The officialCall of Dutyblog recently revealed the Meat 6v6 map layout forModern Warfare 3with a brief description of what players can expect. Set in a slaughterhouse on the west coast of the US, Meat is a compact map similar tothe popular Rust and Shipment maps. The narrow confines of the slaughterhouse will make gunfights chaotic and unpredictable, but skillful use of the Tac Stance ability may help players gain an edge in combat. Those wanting to take control of longer sightlines may want to stick to the outer loading dock and entrance portions of the map. However, it’s clear that most of the gunfights will take place near the center of the map within the slaughterhouse.
Due to the abundance of small corridors and corners, SMGs and assault rifles will likely be popular weapons of choice forModern Warfare 3players on the Meat map. TheModern Warfare 3community has called for assault rifle nerfsin recent weeks, but it’s clear that the weapon category will continue to perform strongly in Season 1. However, Sledgehammer Games may still surprise players with the December 6 patch, since weapon balancing continues to be one of the studio’s priorities.
Meat will be available inModern Warfare 3’s6v6 playlistsalongside the new Greece map on December 6, and the third 6v6 map, Rio, will be available later in the season. Future seasons and updates will continue to introduce more 6v6 maps intoModern Warfare 3, including fan-favorite maps fromModern Warfare 2.
