From now until October 5,Call of Duty: Modern WarfareandWarzoneplayers can enjoy double XP, double weapon XP, and double tiers. Double weapon XP will help players who are trying to unlock new attachments for theSP-R208 Marksman Rifle. And after they’ve managed to unlock all of the attachments, they can put together an impressive SP-R208 loadout. Right now, the SP-R208 rifle is actually bugged so players are able to attach pretty much any kind of attachments to it without having to deal with bullet drop, so fans can expect it to be one of the most-used guns in the game, at least in the early days of Season 6.
Double tiers, meanwhile, will helpCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers when it comes to unlocking content in the new Season 6 Battle Pass. The quicker players are able to get through the Battle Pass, the quicker they are able to unlock some of the new content, like thepet bat named Edward. There’s plenty of CoD Points, cosmetic items, and much more forModern Warfareplayers to unlock in the Season 6 Battle Pass as well.
If players miss out on this double XP weekend, there will be more opportunities in future. Infinity Ward regularly hosts double XP weekends through any givenCall of Duty: Modern Warfareseason, so players will have plenty of chances to get a boost on theirBattle Passand rank.
Typically, Infinity Ward has ended seasons with the return of Shipment 24/7, a super-small map that lets players level things up at an even faster pace. So even ifModern Warfareplayers find themselves at the end of the season with a lot of their Battle Pass left to complete, they should still have a decent shot at getting to the end of it. Shipment 24/7 isn’t available right now, though, soModern Warfarefans can play some of thenew Season 6 multiplayer mapsin the meantime.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
