The Season 3 update for the latestCall of Dutytitles will bring several balance adjustments and new content that has not been revealed just yet.Call of DutySeason 2 ReloadedinModern Warfare 2andWarzone 2is winding down as the third season approaches. Season 3 launches on April 12 with a weekly playlist update and the returning Intervention sniper rifle from 2009’sModern Warfare 2. Additionally, several updates to the anti-cheat system are on the way to ensure a smooth cheater-free launch in the coming week. Moreover,Warzone 2Ranked Playwill not be available at the start of the third season.
Activision also confirmed Resurgence is coming to the Al Mazrah map inWarzone 2alongside the long awaited return ofPlunder from the originalWarzone. In Plunder,Warzone 2players compete in a modified battle royale match with the goal of collecting one million in cash to win.Modern Warfare 2andWarzone 2players can expect more information on the new multiplayer map, Resurgence, and Plunder in a Season 3 blog post on April 6. This will feature a detailed roadmap of what’s to come in the impending update.
Call of Dutyfans can expect a new trailer soon since the launch ofModern Warfare 2andWarzone 2Season 3 is just a week away. Additionally, the upcoming blog post by Infinity Ward should reveal all the important details about the new content coming soon, including the newModern Warfare 2map. More details aboutWarzone 2Ranked Play may not immediately appear since the mode is confirmed to come later during Season 3, however.
Although players still voice their criticism for thelack of 10v10 modes inModern Warfare 2, Season 3 presents another opportunity to reintroduce 10v10 alongside new modes and maps.
