Despite no new games releasing in several years,Castlevaniaremains a beloved franchise within the gaming community. Known for its tough-as-nails difficulty, complex storyline, and memorable gameplay mechanics,Castlevaniais quite recognizable within the community. Now, one fan has spliced bothCastlevaniaandFinal Fantasytogether to make something truly impressive.
When it comes to fan creations especially, video game crossover art is quite common. Back in January of 2021, one fan managed to insertKratos fromGod of WarintoHades, using the art direction and style ofHades’character designs. However, this newest piece of crossover art depicts two of the most memorable video game title art spliced together and it is quite the sight, to say the least.

A Reddit user by the name of Syakil_zd, recreated the logo forCastlevania: Symphony of the Nightin the style of theFinal Fantasylogo. It’s impressive to see all of the different elements used, seeing how it looks like a regular logo forFinal Fantasy, but also seeing the silhouette of Alucard and the shape of his different forms. It’s a very nice tribute to both franchises, overall.
It’s amazing to see that despite the lack of newCastlevaniagames, the adulation for the franchise hasn’t faded. Given the success of theNetflixCastlevaniaseries and the recent announcement of a spin-off series, it seems thatCastlevaniafans have a lot to look forward to. However, the lack of any newCastlevaniagames for some fans is quite disheartening, especially compared to the other series this piece of art was inspired by, in addition toCastlevania.
In recent years,Final Fantasyhas been doing very well. With the release ofFinal Fantasy 15, the movies based on the game that released, as well as the upcoming release ofFinal Fantasy 16, there seems to be no shortage ofFinal Fantasycontent for fans to enjoy. By comparison, many fans would agree that it’s arguably a good time for a newCastlevaniainstallment.
There hasn’t been a newCastlevaniagame released sinceCastlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, which released back in 2014. While Konami has partnered with Bloober Team and is apparently working on a newSilent Hillproject, that doesn’t mean that anything new in terms ofCastlevaniawill surface. Right now, it’s impossible to know if Konami will return toCastlevania, but then again, crazier things have happened recently. The reveal ofMetroid Dreadduring E3 2021 was certainly unexpected, so the same could potentially happen forCastlevania.
