With next-generation consoles making their debut this week, it is expected of excited gamers to eagerly await for their new consoles to be shipped so that they could finally get their hands on them and start playingnew sets of next-generation games. However, in an unusual series of events, anXbox Series Xfan has reported that a FedEx employee was allegedly trying to steal their console away from them.

In a Reddit post written by dsmny, they have told a story on how theyalmost missed out on the Xbox Series Xbecause they suspected that a FedEx employee was trying to steal it away. According to the post, dsmny was leaving their home when they saw a FedEx truck pull up and received a notification saying that theXbox Series Xarrived. Strangely enough, the truck started to drive away, causing dsmny to run after it and ask the driver about the package. Upon being asked, the driver said “no,” causing dsmny to show the delivery notification, thus making the driver find and give the package.

One interesting thing that needs to be noted about the entire story is that whenWalmart shipped the Xbox Series X, the box was labeled with “SERIES X” on it, essentially suggesting that an Xbox Series X was inside. Based on what dsmny wrote, they didn’t think much of the situation at first before noticing what was written on the box. At the end of their post, the Reddit user asked the community if FedEx needed to be contacted and if some kind of a complaint should be filed.

Based on the replies that dsmny received, a lot of people suggested that FedEx needed to be contacted about the Xbox Series X. Later on, an update from dsmny read that a complaint was eventually filed and that it was better “to be safe than sorry” about the entire situation regarding theXbox Series X shipping incident. One other thing that the user wrote was that they hope everyone else gets their next-generation consoles without any issues and on time.

Aside from theXbox Series X being a powerful console, it also costs a decent amount of money, and it would be extremely unfortunate if something ended up happening to it during delivery. On the other hand (and this is something that was pointed out by some of the Reddit users), it’s very difficult to present evidence that the FedEx employee was attempting to allegedly steal the console. Nonetheless, it seems that dsmny’s story had a happy ending despite being a bit stressful.

TheXbox Series Xis available now.
