Things have gone from bad to worse in Dogtown since V toppled the dictator, Kurt Hansen inCyberpunk 2077:Phantom Liberty. Now that the district is without a leader, it’s only a matter of time before the toughest of the Barghest organizations begin to fight it out to be king, only for Dogtown to drown in its own blood in the process in thisCyberpunk 2077:Phantom Libertymission.
Before Dogtown can collapse in on itself with the weight of ego, Mr. Hands has a plan to take control of the district by ensuring that the new Kurt Hansen, is one that can be well under his thumb. This spurs a political quest of espionage and deceit, and maybe a few murders along the way.

How to Start Run This Town
After completing Firestarter and the missions that follow, players will receive a call from Mr. Hands upon returning to Dogtown. However, it’s vitally important that withinthe Firestarter mission, players kill Kurt Hansen. If players decide to help Songbird, Kurt Hansen is killed by Alex. If they decide to help Reed, then Kurt Hansen is a boss fight and must be executed after his defeat. If players do not kill Kurt Hansen, they cannot start Run This Town.
Upon returning to Dogtown, give it some time and Mr. Hands will welcome V back to the district. From this phone call, he will ask to meet V in person, for yet anotherface-to-face with the man behind the holo-curtain.

Meet Mr. Hands
Upon heading to the Heavy Hearts club, players will want to take the elevator past the bartender to reach Mr. Hands’ private room. He will direct players’ attention to the coffee table, where they will find a datashard containing the information relevant to the two Dogtown higher-ups that are battling it out to be the next Kurt Hansen: Lieutenant Colonel Bennett, and Hansen’s accountant, Jago.
Players are given a choice on how to proceed:
After accepting the mission from Mr. Hands, he will provide V with the information and data necessary to impersonate Aguilar, a Havana assassin, feared all around the world. After all, Aguilar is like the Grim Reaper, and every time a cigar is lit in Havana, Aguilar takes a life. Or, so they say. On the coffee table will be a replica ofAguilar’s gun, Mancinella, Aguilar’s suit, as well as the Behavioral Imprint chip needed to become Aguilar. After equipping these items, players will need to proceed with the quest.
Mr. Hands’ one request for this mission is for V to get Jago to back down with his claim to become the Dogtown leader, as he wants Bennett to do the job. However, he wants Jago to back down peacefully and does not want the accountant killed, thusproviding the best outcome.

Meet With Jago
After leaving the Heavy Hearts club, players need to set their path to the meeting point between Jago and the Voodoo Boys. At the meeting location, there’s a run-down cabin that players can enter to wait and change into Aguilar. It’s wise to create a save file before doing this, as it is not possible to save whilst the Behavioral Imprint is active.
After becoming Aguilar, walk down the path to find the Voodoo Boys. The smoothest way is to have20 Cool Attributes, in which players can get the Voodoo Boys to leave peacefully. Alternatively, they can kill them all. Don’t worry about combat, as Aguilar has a decent amount of health, and heals rather quickly.

After taking care of the Voodoo Boys, players need to lean on a rock and wait for Jago to arrive in his escorted vehicle. When Jago gets out of the car, he is followed by his guard, Charlie. Players are given some dialogue options to deal with Jago, and here are the outcomes:
With Jago gone, there are two objectives. Players can call Mr. Hands to confirm that Jago will not be a problem, or they can head to the City Center in the Downtown district to meet Bennett. The optional objective is a wise choice here.

Meet Lieutenant Bennett
After receiving information about Bennett’s contacts with Arasaka, V, and Johnny decide that the most powerful megacorp in the world doesn’t exactly need more power, and its fingers can stay well out of Dogtown. Players need to head to the Downtown district in the City Center to meet Bennett. They can begin by killing his guard. The easiest way to do so is to hug the wall to the left in stealth and get behind him. After he is dead, dump his body in the garbage to hide it. Players are then prompted to wait in Bennett’s vehicle to continue thisspy thriller mission.
From here, they can talk to Bennett, and they will have two dialogue options to choose from:

After Bennett has backed down, deactivate the Behavioral Imprint and then call Mr. Hands, who will provide V with their next instruction, which is to head to the Black Sapphire in Dogtown and attend Hansen’s wake as Aguilar to personally witness the transfer of power with Jago and Bennett.
Attend Kurt Hansen’s Wake
Upon arriving at the Black Sapphire, players need to once again transform into Aguilar, by finding the quiet corner covered by scaffolding. Now that the impersonation has occurred, they are free to walk into the Black Sapphire. Head up the elevator to Floor 99, where players will meet Jago, and be escorted towards Bennett and Kurt Hansen’s casket. From here, the trio of characters will speak about leadership and the future of Dogtown, and there are three outcomes involved, starting from the moment Bennett demands Jago to hand over his contacts.
Outcome 1: Jago is Killed, Bennet Rules Dogtown
No. You do not get a new toy, Bennett.– Bennett becomes enraged, and he will show his strength by killing Jago and his soldiers unless players show their weapons. With Jago dead, Bennett is the sole ruler of Dogtown, with no one to keep him in check.
Outcome 2: Kill Bennett, Jago Rules Dogtown
A fair price, Jago. One you will pay.– Will have Jago send the data of his secret contacts from across the NCPD to Bennett. Once this is done, Bennett will kill Jago’s men, and then point a gun at Jago. Bennett will kill Jago in every outcome, unless playershave 15 Reflex, in which they can shoot Bennett, killing him, and leaving Jago to rule Dogtown. In doing so, they can loot Bennett’s corpse, who has a Confidential shard from a mysteriousSusan A, who demands Jago’s contacts, and then his death.
Outcome 3: Bennett Rules Dogtown With Jago By His Side
Show your weapon | You would plunge Dogtown into chaos?– Bennett and Jago realize the power of Havana and the threat of death that lingers on Aguilar’s tongue. They will agree to work together, and their business relationship will be a prosperous one for Dogtown, as they will have a new leader and an accountant to listen to.
Should You Choose Jago or Bennet to Rule Dogtown?
For payment and lore reasons, it’s probably best to ensure that Bennett rules Dogtown, but with Jago by his side. If Jago dies, then Bennett will remain unchecked, and become a worse leader for Dogtown because of it. Violence will roam the streets, and his lack of an intelligent right-hand man will cause Dogtown to descend into anarchy. However, with Jago by Bennett’s side, Bennett can gain the respect of the people of Dogtown, whilst also listening to Jago as an advisor, and keeping their books in check so that they can prosper as a team, and perhaps become greater than Kurt Hansen could ever be.
Call Mr. Hands
Now that the situation within the Black Sapphire has been dealt with, it’s time to leave and change out of the Aguilar personality. Saying goodbye to Aguilar, players can call Mr. Hands and let him know the good or bad news regarding the new leader of Dogtown. Mr. Hands will only be happy if Bennett is the leader, and if Jago is still alive. Here are the rewards for both outcomes in Run This Town:
After this phone call, the job is done, and players can enjoy a new day dawning for Dogtown, or get out whilst they still can.
