It is already known that the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is all set to appear in the much-awaitedDaredevil: Born Againseries being produced by Marvel Studios. At D23, it was announced that filming was to begin in mid-2023, but it seems like the production crew will get the ball rolling much sooner, while moving the filming location from Atlanta to New York City.

Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdockhas already been introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe viaSpider-Man: No Way Home, followed by an appearance inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law. However, the character’s journey will continue inDaredevil: Born Again, with fans of the original Netflix series celebrating the return of their favorite character from an independent Marvel show. The wait is still long, with the series premiering in 2024, but news of filming commencing sooner than expected is a step closer to the highly anticipated series coming to fruition.

Daredevil: Born Againwill reportedly begin filming in February 2023, as reported by Jacob Fisher, the editor-in-chief ofDiscussing Film. Fisher took to his official Twitter account and shared the news of filming. “This has already been said but can confirm the series is planning to begin filming in February and last for pretty much the entire year,” he tweeted. He also claims that the upcomingDaredevilseries will be filmed in New York City, which is where the character is based, instead of shooting in Atlanta, which is the home base for most of the Marvel Studios and Disney Plus shows.

If Fisher’s lead is accurate,Daredevil: Born Againwill be filming its 18 episodeswithin a time span of 11 months, with filming occurring between February and December 2023. The series is set for a Spring 2024 release, which gives the team a few months for post-production. Filming in New York City will keep the show’s similarities to the originalDaredevilseries, as the Netflix show was primarily filmed there. Considering the Man without Fear does reside in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City, filming in the city would also make his story more authentic.

Cox’s Daredevil has suddenly become one of the most popular characters in the MCU. Ever since rumors of his introduction into the MCU began swirling, prior to the release ofSpider-Man: No Way Home, fans seem to be spending a lot of time talking about Daredevil on social media. Apart from his appearance inShe-Hulk: Attorney at LawandDaredevil: Born Again, Cox’s extremely popular character will also be a part of theanimatedSpider-Man: Freshman Yearseries, which also premieres in 2024.
