The battle royale mode forHalo Infinite, currently known as Tatanka, may arrive with the game’s fourth season, putting it at a release date sometime in mid-2023. A lot of players have enjoyedHalo Infinitesince it launched last year, specifically its campaign. Horror movie directorJohn Carpenter even stated thatHalo Infinitewas the bestin the series. However, this doesn’t mean that players haven’t also found a lot to criticize within the game and have consistently pointed out its problems following its launch. From plenty of bugs to missing game modes,Halo Infinitehas had a slew of issues since it first released. However, with updates being released by 343 and Xbox,Halo Infinitehas improved steadily over time, introducing Forge mode to the game, adding extra events, and more. As this has not been confirmed by 343 or Xbox, these details around the potential release ofHalo Infinite’sbattle royale should be taken with a pinch of salt. Should these details prove to be true, it seems that the game mode will be similar to a lot of other popular battle royales, but there will be some key differences. Namely,Halo Infinitewill allow for a loadout to be taken into Tatanka when a player drops, unlike other titles where they have to scavenge for weapons along the way.
Previously, there was a rumor circulating thatHalo Infinite’sTatanka game mode had been in development since 2020, and if this is the case, hopefully it means that the battle royale will release in a more polished state than the original game’s multiplayer. There is still plenty of time before the game mode’s potential release though, asHalo Infinitehas yet to launch its third season.
