Reddit user Shragae has garnered a massive response from theDestiny 2community after asking some key questions in a post that explained her desire to play the Bungie FPS with her son. According to Shragae, she lost interest in the game when her father passed away, but she and her son recently gave it another go, and they’ve both exploredDestiny 2’s Shadowkeepand The Witch Queen. With Shragae having some lingering questions, theDestiny 2community was quick to help her by offering helpful tips based on the various Hunter abilities, while others stepped in to directly help by teaming up for the more challenging tasks.

After getting such a warm response from theDestiny 2audience, Shragae posted an update confirming that she’s enjoying the game, but fails to rack up as many kills as her son and is often last in her fireteam. Shragae clarifies that her son is often away fromDestiny 2and can’t help her through Strikes orDestiny 2Crucible PvPand that befriending people from the subreddit has helped her through the moments when he’s unavailable. While her usual duo partner is offline, Shragae has met a wide variety of other Guardians to group up with that help keep her gameplay moving through the aforementioned Reddit post.

Although manyDestiny 2players have experienced griefing or trolling in the Bungie FPS since it was released in 2017, Shragae’s return to the game shows the potential of the community when it unites to help others. Given that the game is an ongoing live service that continues to be updated with seasonal content like withDestiny 2’s Season of Defiance, the help from others may have gone a long way in inspiring Shragae to stay active through the next batch of offerings.

Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
