Earlier this year, Gameloft announcedDisney Dreamlight Valley, a life simulation game where players get to befriend their favorite Disney characters (villains or otherwise). Early Access was confirmed a few months after the game was announced, and pre-orders for the Founder’s Edition went live for Nintendo Switch, Xbox, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store soon after.
Players hoping to pre-order on Playstation or Steam are out of luck, asDisney Dreamlight Valleycan only be bought on those platforms once Early Access has gone live. With that said, here is what interested players will need to know aboutDisney Dreamlight Valley’s launch time.

What Time Does Disney Dreamlight Valley Release?
Disney Dreamlight Valleyopens its doors for players on September 6th at 9 AM EST (6 AM PST, 1 PM UTC, 3 PM CEST, and 11 PM AEST). For the Microsoft Store, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, players can pre-load the game right now.
Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers interested in playing the game on Steam, Epic Games Store, or Playstation will be unable to pre-loadthe game until Early Access beginsas, unfortunately, the game cannot be pre-ordered on those platforms.
How Much Space Does Disney Dreamlight Valley Require?
Players worried about how much storage spaceDisney Dreamlight Valleywill eat up need not be concerned. While Steam says that the game will require 10 GB of storage, the game only comes up to 7.53 GB when installed. This is obviously nothing compared to some games that come out these days that are anywhere from 80 to 100+ GB file size. Though players should remember that the file size is expected to increase as the game receives updates in the future.
Are Players Able to Import Their Avatar From the Avatar Design Tool?
Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers who downloaded the free Avatar Design Tool and played around with it will be delighted to learn that it is possible to import their Avatar into the game when Early Access goes live.
To clear up any possible confusion on the matter, Gameloft posted a news storydetailing how players can import their AvatarwhenDisney Dreamlight Valleyofficially begins Early Access. Players on PlayStation will be unable to import their Avatar until the first update goes live in Fall 2022. It makes sense that Gameloft would make this a feature, as players customizing their Avatar and their own homeare big parts of the game.
How Long Does Early Access Last?
Gameloft announced thatDisney Dreamlight Valleywill officially release sometime in 2023 and will be free-to-play. While there is no official date given yet, it would be a safe bet for players to see a full release announcement in the later half of 2023 in order for the community to provide Gameloft meaningful feedback for the game.
Disney Dreamlight Valleyis set to hit Early Access on September 6th and will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
