ForDisneycharacters that reside in the Valley, players are often required to build relationships with them to progress major storylines and quests. However, animal companions have simpler roles in the game. Players need only to gift these creatures with food over a course of time, and soon, the animals will start following the player’s character around the map. Now thatDisney Dreamlight Valleyis teasing additional features for animal companions, fans will likely have more incentive to befriend the Valley’s animal residents.

On Twitter, the official account ofDisney Dreamlight Valleyraised a poll on whether the game’s community would like to see interactions with animal companions in future updates. The options in the poll were all positive and variations of a yes, indicating that the development team is likely already working on the feature. In this case, the question to the community now would be when they would want to see the newDisney Dreamlight Valleygameplay featureimplemented into the life sim. The poll results showed that the players want to see it in the next update already.
Unfortunately, the development team did not share the exact date of when the new feature will be added into the video game. Given the resounding positive answers on the poll and even the comments section of the Twitter post, the player base is already waiting in anticipation to be able to interact with the animal companions in the life sim.
