10Young Prince Vegeta
There’s always something special about seeing beloved characters when they were children, and Vegeta is no exception. His look as a young prince is fantastic, featuring custom armor, a royal cape, andthe Vegeta family crest emblazoned on the front.
Even as a child, Vegita looks absolutely ready for battle,just as angry and entitled as one would expect given how he is as an adult, and, in a way that’s nice. Some things never change, and apparently, Vegeta’s sour attitude is one such thing.
9Cell Arc Armor
Dragon Ball Zhas a number of brilliant story arcs for fans to choose from, but the Cell Arc stands out as one of the show’s very best. The Cell Games are one of the show’s best tournaments overall, the arc features excellent character developments, fun fights, and, yes, a signature look for Vegeta.

Vegeta’s armor during the Cell Arc is his most popular overall among fans, and it’s easy to see why. It feels sleek but strong, trulythe modern update of the Saiyan armor that he wore on Planet Namek. Neither too pared down nor too bulky, the Cell Arc armor is an immediate standout.
8GT Street Clothes
The street clothes worn by Vegeta inGTare similar to the gi he wears at the end ofDragon Ball Z:a tank top and jeans. Without the jacket, it just doesn’t have the same pop, which is one of the few things keeping it from ranking higher.
It’s a distinct look,standing out against an otherwise similar backdrop of Saiyan armorsand training gear.It’s unfortunate that Vegeta doesn’t adopt the street clothes lookuntil the Super 17 Arc, far intoGT.PerhapsDragon Ballwill return to this look at some point. It deserves it.
7Early Namek Armor
Vegeta wore multiple sets of armor during his time on Namek, so it’s important to distinguish between them. His early Namek armor is functionally just a variation of his Saiyan Arc armor, at least the top half of it, anyway.

Without the belt he wore during the Saiyan Arc,Vegeta’s look is sleeker, drawing all the attention to his armored torso and white glovesrather than his nondescript blue pants. Equally pleasing is the decay his armor shows as the arc continues, becoming increasingly chipped and battered by various fights.
6Saiyan Arc Armor
Vegeta’s armor during the Saiyan Arc acts as the template for most of his other iconic looks, so it’s worth considering what makes the Saiyan Arc armor cool and distinct in its own right. The belt and thigh armor break up the form of his lower body a bit, which makes his silhouette a little more distinct.
Crucially,his Saiyan Arc armor gives viewers a visual representation of his opposition to Goku:blue to Goku’s orange, ornate to Goku’s simple.The two go from foes to frenemiesover the course of the show, and this look captured that instantly.
5Buu Arc Spandex
Seen inDragon Ball Super: Broly, as well as during the Buu Arc, Vegeta’s blue spandex is understated perfection. Bulky armor has its place in his wardrobe, but the Buu Arc spandex ditches heavy plating in favor of clean lines and tight-fitting cloth, and Vegeta’s look is all the better for it.

Buu Arc spandex is arguably the best that Vegeta has ever looked in his Super Saiyan form.Foregoing any disruptions to the lines of his body only makes his wild golden hair more pronounced.With the Majin “M” on his forehead, the look is that much better.
4End Of Z Jacket
It’s interesting seeing everyone’s end ofZattire when the battles have been fought and the time for a change has come. The subdued palette of Goku’s gi marks a turning point for him visually as much as narratively, and Vegeta’s jacket and slacks do much the same.
Viewers can tell at a glance thatthe Saiyan prince is turning his mind to other thingsfor once, and seeinga more casual look from the infamous warrioris refreshing. Vegeta has adopted a few different casual looks throughout the series, but the end ofZjacket may be his very best.
3Resurrection F
Dragon Ballhas seen numerous spin-offs over the years, some better than others.Resurrection Fisn’t the franchise’s finest work, but it does include a redesigned suit of armor for Vegeta, which iswithout question one of the finest pieces he’s ever gotten to wear.

Every fan knows that Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan turns a Saiyan’s hair blue, but not everyone considers the many ways that one color change affects the character’s entire look.Resurrection Fgives Vegeta gray spandex and alternate chest piece armor, both of which match his new hair color much better than previous looks.
2Badman
Vegeta’s pink “Badman” shirt and yellow pants became a meme amongstDragon ballfans as soon as the episode debuted, and it’s easy to see why. There’s something off-putting about seeing those colors on the Saiyan warrior, and the fact that Bulma loves the look only makes it that much funnier.
While Vegeta may not be happy about his Badman outfit, plenty of fans were,celebrating the absolute absurdity of a look that even Vegeta hated.From princely child to earth-invading killer to pastel Badman,Vegeta has enjoyed quite the visual journey over the years.
1Late Namek Armor
The Late Namek Armor is a point of contention amongst fans. While some feel that Saiyan armor needs the shoulder pads to break up its flow and look right, others love the simplicity of the Late Namek armor. Vegeta himself calls it an out-of-date model, only donning it because his own, newer armor was obliterated.
One of the best things about the Late Namek Armor is how unobtrusive it is. It sells the idea of itself as a protective garment, but it never distracts the viewer during fights. Instead,the focus stays right on the Saiyan prince and his awe-inspiring deeds,which is just the way he’d like it.
