To getMedusa HeadinDragon’s Dogma 2, you need totarget the head while fighting her. Thief is the best Vocation for the task due to the quick slashes made by the daggers.
The quality of Medusa’s headdepends on the health she has before you sever it. Cutting Medusa’s head around her first health bar will yield thePreserved Medusa Head, while doing it after her first health bar is gone will grant you the normalMedusa Head. Meanwhile, if you cut her head when she’s dying, you’ll get theWitheredversion of the head.

Dragon’s Dogma 2Vocationslike Sorcerer, Mage, and Trickster won’t be able to sever the head as they don’t attack with weapons, but with spells. While a Sorcerer may be able to burn Medusa to a crisp, her head will stay attached to her body, locking players from obtaining a powerful item.
Once you collect Medusa’s head, you can now use it to easily kill enemies as powerful as Drakes. However, verify to use it immediately or Medusa’s head will rot away and disappear forever. Therefore, if Arisen wants to keep the head of a specific enemy, store theDragon’s Dogma 2item awayuntil it’s needed. Additionally, after a few days,Medusa will respawn in the same cave, so you can kill it again and get the head.
