June 2020 is finally here, and with the new month comes a host of new creatures toAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsislands all around the globe. Some fish and bugs will stick around for most of the year or are always available, while some critters like the ones on this list cycle in and out of players’ games based on climate and the seasons. Even the time of day affects which critters can be caught, so players need to be mindful if they want to catchrare bugsand fish.
With the new month inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonscomes new opportunities to catch fish and bugs for Blathers’ collection in the museum, to sell for a bunch of Bells, or generally enjoy finding the new and exciting critters around the island, even if theNew Horizon’s bugs can be annoyingat times.

Northern Hemisphere
In the Northern Hemisphere, the days are getting warmer and the sun is staying out longer. With summer coming into full swing, there are a lot of rare fish like theArapaimaand a good handful of bugs like the Rainbow Stag that’ll be rolling in along with the hot weather.

In the Southern Hemisphere, winter is settling down, so there aren’t as many new critters to be found this month. While there are some newrare fish inAnimal Crossingcircling back into southern waters, there aren’t as many new bugs coming to islands in the south.

All of these returning creatures create new challenges forAnimal Crossingplayers whether they live in the Northern Hemisphere or the Southern Hemisphere. With June coming in, there are so many newbugs and fish to catchthat will give players new goals for the month along with a new variety of creatures to spice up life on the island.
