5Helaena Targaryen
Fans Pity Her Tragic Loss & Lament How Little Comfort She Is Given
Helaena Targaryen is one of the few innocents caught up inthe Dance of the Dragons, and after the impossible choice she had to make and the loss she suffered, it’s easy for viewers to sympathize with her.
To make matters worse, after the death of her son, no other character has been able to spare a moment to comfort her, and fans are disappointed she has not been given more screen time. As one ofHouse of the Dragon’smost underutilized characters, viewers want to see her grief shared with Aegon. Nevertheless, the scenes she’s been in have been phenomenal, and perhaps soon more will be seen of her mysterious side, which fans love.
4Prince Jacaerys Velaryon
The Most Capable Member Of The Blacks Who Also Has The Best Glare
Harry Collett’s portrayal of Prince Jacaerys Velaryon had already impressed viewers during the latter episodes of Season 1, but his more prominent role in Season 2 has cemented him as a fan favorite. After appearing alongside Cregan Stark, whose own popularity is worth mentioning, Jace made his way to his mother in grief for one of the most beautiful scenes in the entire show.
Throughout the emerging war, Jace has proven himself to be the most pragmatic and capable member of the Blacks, and he is certainlya character who would make a great king. To top this off, fans were impressed with his new style this season, and his steely glare has been at the center of many memes.
3King Aegon II Targaryen
The King’s Humanity & Desire To Do Good Despite His Shortcomings Have Been Wonderfully Portrayed
After Season 1, it didn’t appear there would be a chance of redemption for the newly anointed King Aegon II Targaryen. However, thanks to some terrific performances by Tom Glynn-Carney and multiple scenes where light is cast on Aegon’s humanity, many fans have grown to care for him, especially after his mother failed to comfort him after the tragic death of his son. In fact, it was his interactions with his son that first began to sway viewers.
While Aegon is by no means a good person and has done some truly terrible things in the past, he is notevil or cruel in the vein of characters like Joffrey or Ramsey Snow fromGame of Thrones. It is also possible to see how a lack of love has deeply affected him, and there’s no denying he wants to be a good king, even if he sadly isn’t. The crowning moment for many fans, however, was the brief but beautiful moment shared between Aegon and his dragon Sunfyre.
2Ser Simon Strong
A Genuinely Kind Man Who Contrasts Hilariously With Daemon Targaryen
House Strong may not be the most numerousor powerful, but it’s safe to say that every Strong character inHouse of the Dragonhas delivered so far. However, few fans could have foreseen that an elderly great-uncle of the brave and dashing Harwin Strong could rival him as the most popular member of this family.
Nevertheless, that is the case, with the humanity and frankness of Ser Simon Strong winning over fans. This amicable lord, who is known to quibble with Daemon over titles and apologize for a lack of redcurrants, almost feels out of place in war-torn Westeros, and viewers will be praying that nothing bad happens to him. There doesn’t appear to be a single bad bone in Ser Simon, and he simply wishes to help and live out his life in peace. His demeanor is also reminiscent of a beloved character from the original series, Samwell Tarly.

In a series full of bloodthirsty violence, one of the most unforgivable acts in the eyes of viewers was when the ratcatcher kicked his dog. However, after his owner met his just end, this cute dog has continued to resurface, much to the delight of fans.
The tragedy of this poor dog is summed up by the fact that he is seen lingering by the hanging body of his master, and even trailed after the cart carrying his corpse away. All season long, fans have been going crazy for this dog, posting memes of him on dragon back or sitting onthe Iron Throne. With members of the Blacks and the Greens both as bad as one another, it’s argued that he should rule instead!
