Soon,Final Fantasy 16fans will be able to get their hands on the long-awaited playable demo as it goes live on June 12. Square Enix revealed when gamers can expect theFinal Fantasy 16demo to go live during the pre-launch celebration stream, going into detail as to how long the demo will cover and the battles that the demo will contain.As the next entry in Square Enix’s long-running series,Final Fantasy 16has become one of the most-anticipated games of 2023. As Clive Rosfield, players will experience three aspects of his life, from his teens and through his adulthood, and wieldthe power of the game’s various Eikons in different ways. Since day one,Final Fantasyfans have been expressing their hype and interest in the latest entry in the series. While evidence of the demo’s existence made a brief appearance on social media prior to the live stream, it was not available for download. Previously, Yoshida stated that he would like to releasea demo ofFinal Fantasy 16closer to the game’s launch, to avoid the hype for it getting stale too quickly. During the pre-launch celebration, Yoshida clarified that even though the demo has a release time, it may take a few minutes for it to hit the distribution servers across the world, and asked players for their patience in advance. Yoshida detailed that the demo would cover at least two hours of gameplay and warned players that it would feature some lengthy cutscenes in the process as it takes place early in the game.
Final Fantasy 16 Demo Release Date and Time
In addition, Yoshida revealed that a special battle segment would be available from the title screen after players complete the initial part of theFinal Fantasy 16demo. The battle segment would allow players totake Clive’s Eikonic abilities for a spin, and all progress made in the demo would carry over into the full release ofFinal Fantasy 16.
At the time of writing, it is not currently known how much storage space will be required for theFinal Fantasy 16demo. Though two hours may not seem like much compared tothe full length ofFinal Fantasy 16, players that download the demo will experience a taste of Eikonic power soon.
