Anyone that has used the social media app TikTok for any significant length of time is likely familiar with the Renegade dance. Created by Jalaiah Harmon, the Renegade dance quickly became one of the most popular dances on the entire app, performed by celebrities andtop TikTok stars like Charli D’Amelio. Now the Renegade dance is finally available in Epic Games’Fortnite, with those interested able to purchase it from the in-game store right now.
In its tweet aboutFortniteadding the Renegade Emote, Epic Games gave credit to Harmon and tagged her in the post. However, it’s unclear if Jalaiah is actually being compensated at all forFortniteusing the dance. In the past, there has been somecontroversy overFortniteusing danceswithout compensating the creators of said dances, though lawsuits brought forward against the company haven’t really gone anywhere, with many being dismissed, as most people don’t copyright dance moves. Still, considering the sheer amount of money thatFortnitemakes, one hopes that 14 year old Jalaiah has been given some type of compensation for inventing the dance.

Regardless, those interested in purchasing theFortniteRenegade Emote can buy it from the shop for 500 V-Bucks. Considering how popular the Renegade dance is, it’s likely that Epic could have priced it higher than that and it still would have sold like hotcakes. Like otherFortnitecosmetics, the Renegade dance will only be available in the item shop for a limited time, so those that want it should be sure to get it as soon as possible.
Beyond the Renegade dance emote, there’s plenty of other new content available inFortnitefor fans to check out. TheFortnitebattle royale map is continuously changing this season, as floodwaters recede and grant players access to more areas of the map. For example, the popularRisky Reels locationmade its triumphant return toFortnitenot too long ago.
Presumably, the next season ofFortnitewill kick off once all of the floodwaters are gone, though the next season will likely bring with it its own map changes for fans to watch out for.
