The Simsis a series that has become famous for allowing players to create people and put them into ridiculous scenarios. There seems to be an odd fascination among fans ofThe Simsin finding brutal and odd ways to kill their Sim. From the classic strategy of making a swimming pool and removing the ladder to escape said pool, to starting fires in the kitchen, Sims' lives can be fleeting in their virtual world, though one Sim has reminded their player that they’re made of some tough stuff.

Death is nothing new toThe Simsseries. The Grim Reaper appears whenever a Sim dies, and players can even see their ghosts as they make the journey to the afterlife. There have also been DLCs dedicated to the paranormal, and creating a life after death for Sims. In typical Sims fashion, the DLC contained some funny glitches, such as one glitch that saw a ghost sending a text to anotherSim offering condolences for their own death.

In one video though, posted by user u/josh1424, a Sim is shown to defy what many would consider almost certain death. The video begins with lightning striking the ground, followed by a foolish Sim running out into the midst of the apocalyptic action, deciding to cower right where a meteor is about to strike. After a few seconds of tension, the meteor hits the ground, leaving them mostly unharmed, except for a few pieces of burned clothing. If anything, this only serves to make the Sim look heroic, like somethingstraight out of One Punch Man.

While someSimsfans are hoping for the release orannouncement ofThe Sims 5, as it’s now been eight years since the release ofThe Sims 4, it seems players are still managing to have a fun time with the older games. Users quickly flocked to the video posted by u/josh1424, commenting how funny it was and sharing stories of their own Sims being struck by meteors and similar strange events. One commenter hilariously said “insurance fraud. He ran directly to the shadow and waited until it hit him. People these days.”

Surviving a meteor strike may be one of the greatest feats accomplished by a Sim, though there are plenty of strange, hilarious and impressive things Sims can do inThe Simsgames. Then there’s the players behindThe Sims, who can create the funny moments, and the characters behind them. Fromcreating a realistic Chris Hemsworth, to a strange monstrosity,The Simsplayers really can do it all.

The Sims 4is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
