Summary
The floodgates for Version 4.4 leaks have opened, asGenshin Impactplayers can now have a clear look at Chenyu Vale and how it connects to the other regions of Teyvat. ThoughCloud Retainer isGenshin Impact’s starin Version 4.4, Xianyun will also be joined by Gaming, a 4-Star Pyro character, the Lantern Rite event for 2024, and a brand-new Liyue area for players to sink their teeth into. It’s fair to say that Chenyu Vale has been one of the most hyped map expansions since The Chasm, as it will finally connect Liyue to Fontaine, and reveal the place where Baizhu’s master came from.
Though Fontaine’s Archon Quest inGenshin Impactis officially concluded, the update pipeline still has a lot in store before Natlan makes its debut in Version 5.0. It’s expected that Version 4.6 will add the final Fontaine area inspired by Remuria, while Version 4.8 will feature a temporary Summer Festival zone, as isGenshin Impacttradition. Thebanner order ofGenshin Impactcharactersfor the remainder of the upcoming patches will likely keep players spending their pulls, as Fontaine’s gauntlet of 5-Stars has only just begun.

Chenyu Vale Is Much Bigger Than Expected in Genshin Impact Version 4.4
For players who are seeking to gather Primogems, whether to wish for Xianyun or to save forChiori inGenshin Impact, they will find Chenyu Vale to be a surprisingly huge zone filled to the brim with rewards. Itsmap was finally revealed by FouLon theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit, where it confirmed several rumors, but also debunked some earlier leaks as well. Unfortunately, it would seem that Chenyu Vale does not close the Stormterror Lair gap that has vexed someGenshin Impactplayers since launch, but it does leave that area primed for a future map expansion.
Another highlight of Chenyu Vale is the reveal that it will most likely feature the Anemo Regisvine as the new World Boss, which certainly fits Xianyun due to her being a 5-Star Anemo Catalyst. The grass appears to be almost a turquoise color, which is a stark departure from the golden fields of Liyue thatGenshin Impactplayers are familiar with. Given that Chenyu means “sunken jade” and the vale is known for its tea, the different-looking biome makes sense.

While Chenyu Vale connects Fontaine and Liyue together, the area just below Celestia will remain closed off for now. Sumeru is expected to receive another map expansion in the future that will seemingly fit inside that gap, though it’s too early to tell when HoYoverse will release Bayda Harbor. Version 4.4 is expected to launch near the end of January 2024, but until then, players can attempt to save their pulls or spend their wishes onNavia inGenshin Impact’s Version 4.3.
