While character additions remain the main attraction of everyGenshin Impactupdate, each new version of the game also introduces a set of new events for players to enjoy. Participating in such events grants various rewards such as precious Primogems that are used for wishing on one of the game’s banners.
These limited events can often cause unintentional interactions between characters and the game’s unique environment. A video posted on the popularGenshin Impactsubreddit shows a player going through a hilarious accident during one of the ongoing events.

Reddit user Jesuis_Luis has shared an interesting video in which their Yelan gets struck by lightning while participating in the current event named “The Almighty Arataki Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival.” This is the first percussion-based rhythmmini-game inGenshin Impact. The event requires players to match the rhythm of various songs while playing the instrument. Even though Yelan gets interrupted in the middle of her performance, the player managed to get the event rewards. The video has already attracted a lot of attention as it managed to gather almost 5k upvotes.
Even thoughGenshin Impactupdate 2.7introduced the event a couple of days ago, multiple replies in the comment section claim that it’s already one of the best mini-games inGenshin Impact. Apparently one thing that makes the event so special is the fact that it’s significantly more difficult compared to the game’s usual content. However, a couple of comments claim that the only thing that could be improved is the starting point of the notes as it’s hard to guess their direction since all of them start from the center of the screen.
A couple of replies also claim that they’ve also went through the same interaction, which means that developer HoYoverse should probably reconsider the event’s location since getting struck by lightning is exclusive to the Inazuma region. The event also serves as an introduction for the upcoming second banner cycle which will introduce the mighty claymore user, Arataki Itto. He will be joined by abrand-newGenshin Impactfour-star characternamed Kuki Shinobu.
Both of them are part of the same Arataki gang which is probably the main reason behind their joint appearance on the upcoming banner. The unlucky character shown in the video, Yelan, is a five-star character, currently obtainable on theLimited Banner - Discerner of Enigmas. Her banner should end around June 21, meaning that players have around a week to get their hands on this special bow user.
