Tartaglia may wield the Bow as his weapon of choice inGenshin Impact, but he’s actually a melee unit. The main part of his kit is how hisBow will turn into two Hydro blades, allowing him to deal melee Hydro DMG in a decent AoE. Meanwhile, Childe’s ranged stance will deal Physical DMG, which won’t be used by most people. Due to Childe’s stance-switch mechanics, he also has two versions of Elemental Burst. One can be cast when he’s on the ranged stance, while the other is available on his melee.

To get Tartaglia’s Hydro blades, players have to use his Elemental Skill. It’s crucial to note thatthe hits Childe deals on this stance are considered Normal attack DMGand not Elemental Skill DMG. Therefore, the best weapons for Childe inGenshin Impactshould enhance his Normal attack.
7Blackcliff Warbow
Blackcliff Warbow has a somewhat similar playstyle toChilde’s mechanics inGenshin Impact. At R5, the Bow can enhance Childe’s ability to thrive as an AoE DPS by having his ATK% constantly increased as he keeps defeating enemies. Blackcliff’s CRIT DMG secondary stats also serves as a big addition to Tartaglia’s stats since he needs this kind of stats for his role.
6Viridescent Hunt

Viridescent Hunt has a classical kind of passive that activates an independent DMG, triggered by Childe’s Normal attacks. The Bow’s passive scales with Tartaglia’s ATK and can be triggered often because of its low cooldown. In addition, Viridescent Hunt’s secondary stats holds a decent amount of CRIT Rate, which can be helpful to trigger Childe’s Riptide.
5Rust
Rust is one ofthe best 4-star Bows inGenshin Impact. Simply place it in the hands of any character to maximize their Normal attacks’ DMG. When activating Tartaglia’s Elemental Skill, Foul Legacy Raging Tide, his attacks will be considered Normal attacks. At R5, Rust will add a whopping 80% buff to Childe’s Normal attacks, which will be added to all his Elemental Skill hits.
4Skyward Harp
Skyward Harp possesses something all Bows fail to bring to the table, having both CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG stats in one weapon. For that, Skyward Harp can be considered astandard pick for any DPS inGenshin Impact. Not to mention, Skyward Harp also has a high Base ATK, offering Childe solid stats buffs the moment he wields it.
3Aqua Simulacra
As a classicalHydro user inGenshin Impact, Childe doesn’t scale with HP when dealing DMG like the new Hydro units. That makes Aqua Simulacra’s passive useless on him, but not completely. Even if the DMG addition is minimal, it’s still worth it when considering the whopping 88% CRIT DMG Aqua Simulacra offers.

While Polar Star and Thundering Pulse are so close in terms of DMG, Polar Star isChilde’s best-in-slot Bow inGenshin Impact. The Bow offers Tartaglia a consistent ATK buff alongside a 33% CRIT Rate to aid the Harbinger trigger Riptide more often.
