In a Twitter post made shortly afterValhallaand its connected Patch 5.01 went liveearlier this week, Walker coyly told players that the DLC’s credits won’t be the end of Kratos’s story, though he naturally remained vague about exactly how this story will continue.

There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Santa Monica Studio’s next big project afterGod of War Ragnarok, with the most popular theory being that it will be ahalf-sequel starring Kratos’s son Atreusas he embarks on his own quest to find more surviving giants and finally step out from under his father’s shadow.God of War Ragnarokalso left plenty of other plot threads open for expansion in a future game, and the last game’s bittersweet ending could make for a gripping follow-up tale of loss, grief, and revenge.
