Summary

343 Industries has revealed the features coming inHalo Infinite’s next Content Update, called Banished Honor, including a new Shop section that uses free-to-earn currency, another Operation Pass, Forge improvements, and more. TheHalo Infiniteupdate is set to release on April 30.

Halo Infinite’s last major updatecame in early April and introduced The Yappening 2 event, which included an Operation Pass and new Firefight variants that exclusively feature hordes of grunts. With that update, 343 announced the new 4v4 map Corrosion, which was just made available and is now featured in a 24/7 Playlist. 343 also just added a new 4v4 map to Ranked playlists called Interference, which is a remake ofHalo 5’s popular The Rig map. While there’s no waiting required to jump into the two new maps, 343 shared some info on what fans can expect next week on April 30.

Halo Infinite’s next Content Update will introduce the Shop’s Exchange section, which offers a rotating set of items that can be purchased with Spartan Points. This new currency can be earned by completing daily challenges, weekly challenges, and Operation Passes. The Exchange offers returning items as well as new ones, with the items changing every four to six weeks. Also coming on April 30 is the Banished Honor Operation Pass, which is free and features 20 tiers of rewards. As for Forge, the next Content Update adds the Flood and Alien Forge palettes, more mode variants, and expanded scripting options.

Features Coming in Halo Infinite’s Next Content Update

The next Content Update might help the Plasma Pistol climb upHalo Infinite’s weapon tier list, as the gun’s EMP effect is returning, meaning it can be used to disable vehicles by using its overcharged shot. Other improvements coming on April 30 include minor quality-of-life upgrades along with stability and networking adjustments.

As for future updates, the BTB Heavies playlist is set to receive new, Forge-made maps one week after Banished Honor launches, so presumably on May 7. Also, 343 previously confirmed that a match composer is coming toInfiniteat some point, although a release date is still not known. While some have understandably expressed disappointment that no new weapons, vehicles, or dev-made maps are coming with Banished Honor, the update’s Forge upgrades should help theHalocommunity create even cooler mapsand the Exchange should finally offer free-to-play users more cosmetic options.

The news of this upcoming Content Update comes asHalo Infinite’s Forge creators continueto release impressive maps. These range from detailed remakes of classicHalolevels to ambitious, large-scale creations like the Forge Falcons' battle royale andHelldivers 2modes.
