Honkai: Star Railhas released its first event called Boulder Town: Super League, but many players seemed unimpressed by it. The fight club-esque event came out as part ofHonkai: Star Railversion 1.0 phase two, which also featuresJing Yuan as the latest banner character.

Boulder Town is a location in Belobog, the city that the Trailblazers travel to in Jarilo-VI, where many miners and their families live and work. There are many interesting locations in the town, and one of them is the Fight Club, where participants are often pitted against robots of varying sizes.Honkai: Star Railplayers can also find side missions given by some of the NPCs hanging out in the area, with one requiring them to beat some of the club’s best fighters.

So, forHonkai: Star Rail’s first-ever limited-time event, HoYoverse introduced the Boulder Town: Super League. Like a boxing match, it has weight classes that correspond to the enemy difficulty, which all have their own set of challenges and buffs to help players out. Each fight has four rounds, and players are incentivized to finish rounds as fast as they could to get more rewards, which include level-up materials and credits. However, a number of players have said in various Reddit threads that the Super League rewards seemed “weak” for the amount of effort needed to accomplish each weight class' challenges. Some also criticized it for not giving away enoughStellar Jades, which can be used for gacha pulls.

While some players agreed with the sentiment, they said it still looked like a fun and easy event to farm materials out of. Meanwhile, others pointed out that this was a minor event, so the number of Stellar Jade prizes was reasonable. One suggested that it might just be a filler event beforeHonkai: Star Railrolls out more major content. As of writing, the game’s main story is still unfinished, and those who reached the end can accomplish adventure missions andHonkai: Star Raildaily quests to get rewards, and find out more about the lore.

TheHonkai: Star Railevent will run until June 6, a day before version 1.1 comes out, so many players still have time to finish it if they want. Although theStar Railteam has proven that they’re listening to feedback after promising tochange Seele’s ultimate animation, it might be unlikely that they’ll change Boulder Town: Super League’s awards to appease disappointed players. For now, allStar Railfans could do is wait patiently for the next update for more exciting events and content.

Honkai Star Railis available now on iOS, Android, and PC. A PlayStation version is currently in development.
