“The Want Beyond the Wall” is one of these side quests and provides a little more insight into the risks that the people of Northreach are willing to take in order to get their hands on illicit items. In this case, though, it’s actually Clive who takes on most of the risk, withFinal Fantasy 16players tasked with delivering some highly restricted items to people living outside of the settlement’s gates.

How to Complete The Want Beyond the Wall in Final Fantasy 16

Players will first gain access to the “The Want Beyond the Wall"side quest inFinal Fantasy 16during the “The Dame” subquest of “Righting Wrongs.” It can be triggered by speaking with a merchant named Etienne, who can be found just around the corner from The Veil, not too far from The Iron Flagon. He’ll ask Clive to deliver a few packages to some of the people outside of Northreach’s southern wall and then bring back the items that they hand over in exchange.

After speaking with Etienne and beginning “The Want Beyond the Wall,” players should make their way back through the gate to the market area outside. They’ll need to speak with the Tinker, the Herbalist, and the Liquormonger, all of whom can be found in the immediate area. The Liquormonger is directly opposite the gate and will hand over some Brandywine after receiving her package. Next, players should swing a left to find the Herbalist, who will give Clive a box of cigars as his way of saying thanks. Finally, to the right of the Herbalist, players will find the Tinker, who pays for his package with some Essence of Rose perfume.

Once they’ve delivered all three packages, players can return to Etienne and hand over the items that they got in exchange. It’s at this point that the merchant reveals that the packages contained crystals, which, as it turns out, are highly prohibited in the Holy Empire of Sanbreque. Thankfully, though, the guards remain none the wiser, allowing Clive to escape punishment and claim his rewards. The merchant will hand over1,000 Gil, with players also getting19 XPfor their troubles. There are no items for completing thisFF 16side quest, but the money should more than make up for this.
