As with many resources inPalia, Copper Bars are a necessary item to make in the game to craft a wide variety of tools, such as the Standard Axe, Standard Arrows, and Homestead Wall Clocks. It is an incredibly versatile item, but cannot just be foraged in the wild.
InPalia, you will need to smelt your own Copper Bars, which will require you to first obtain Copper Ore, and make them into Copper Bars yourself. If you are unsure how to complete this process, we will show you everything you need to do tomake some of your first Copper Bars.

How to Get Copper Ore in Palia
To make Copper Bars inPalia, you will first need to get someCopper Orethrough mining. You can get Copper Ore withthe basicMakeshift Pick, so you won’t need to worry about leveling up your Mining skill first to get some Copper Ore.
We will show you a few places where you caneasily mine some Copper OrewithinKilima, which will require you to break open some Copper Nodes using your Makeshift Pick.

Fisherman’s Lagoon
To locateFisherman’s Lagoon, make your way to thesoutheasternsection of the Kilima map. In this area, approach the small mountainsides to find small and medium-sized Copper Nodes. You should be able to find quite a few Copper Nodes around here surrounding the edges of the mountains.
Leafhopper Hills
Leafhopper Hillscan be found in thesouthwesternportion of the Kilima map. Just south of the small town area in Leafhopper Hills, you will notice a few mountains. Circle around the edges of these, and you’ll be able to find quite a few Copper Nodes.
How to Make Copper Bars in Palia
With a good amount of Copper Ore in your inventory, you can now get started on making them into Copper Bars. To do this, you will need to obtain theBasic Smelter, which you can craft at your Worktable. You can purchase the recipe for aBasic Smelter fromHodariafter you reach Level 2 of Mining. It will specifically become available to you during theBrick by Brickquest, a main quest that you will get early on in the game.
Hodari can be found in Kilima, either within theTavern, or heading back to Bahari Bay. He will usually be marked on your map if you can’t seem to find him. The Basic Smelter willcost you 100 Gold. You can then build it at your Worktable by using:
Now, approach your Basic Smelter. To make one Copper Bar, you will needFive Copper Ore. Each Copper Bar will take a total ofthree minutesto smelt as well. This means it will most likely take you some time to make enough for the tool you are trying to make, such as a Standard Axe, which requires five Copper Bars.
