During an interview withEntertainment TonightatThe Marvels' premiere, Feige was asked whether hisStar Warsmovie was still in the works, and he responded with a simple “No.”
Fans are disappointed to hear this news, as many hoped Feige could lend some of his moviemaking magic to a strugglingStar Warsfranchise. The Marvel Studios president’sStar Warsproject was announced over four years ago, and other than a confirmation that it existed, no further details were ever disclosed. After so long without any updates, it probably shouldn’t be surprising that the project didn’t pan out.

Thanks to Disney’s massive pocketbook and dedication to keeping the franchise alive and well, fans have good reason to be excited about the future ofStar Wars.
