TheSkill Minigamespack removes the minigames that may be luck-based and include only those that players can practice and get better at. While these minigames can have a learning curve for some, this pack is still funforboth new and veteranMario Partyplayers alike.
10Snow Whirled
Snow Whirledis originally fromMario Party 6and returns toMario Party Superstarswith few changes. In this minigame, players must press the A, B, X, and Y buttons in succession in order to complete as many 90° rotations as they can before hitting the ground.
This game is simple and easy to understand, and it doesn’t take long for players to get the hang of how to quickly form strategies on how to hit the buttons faster. Players can increase their button speed by moving their fingers in circles while keeping the Joy-Con stationary, rather than pressing each button individually.

9Rapid River Race
Rapid River Raceis a free-for-all minigame fromMario Party 10. To win this minigame, players must adjust their boat’s speed one notch at a time and as they accelerate, avoid obstacles in their path using the analog sticks.
Rapid River Race can be a frustrating game the first few playthroughs, but the key to success with this minigame is that players find the speed that works best for them. Going too fast can easily result in a slip-up, and hitting an obstacle will cause players to lose all acceleration.

8Night Light Fright
Night Light Frighthas made multiple appearances in theMario Partyfranchise but is originally fromMario Party 5. In this minigame, players must watch a quickly approaching Chain Chomp, pressing A to shine a light and stop the Chomp at the last possible second. The players whose Chain Chomp is the closest at the end win the minigame.

This minigame is tricky to understand at first as there are slight differences between it and the other free-for-all minigames inSuperstars. In Night Light Fright, all players' Chain Chomps move at different speeds so watching another player’s screen to see when they trigger their light is no help. This minigame takes quick reflexes!
7Shy Guy Says
Shy Guy Saysdebuted all the way back in the originalMario Party. This minigame requires players to mimic the signals that Shy Guy holds up in his hand by pressing L or R accordingly.
This minigame is as simple as they come, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy! Shy Guy will change his signals at the last second, causing players to react quickly or get chopped. A good way to excel at this minigame is to wait for a second or two after Shy Guy’s initial signal to be sure that you are holding up the correct flag. Since he changes often, holding up the first signal the players see can often result in elimination.

6Crazy Cutters
Crazy Cutterscomes from the Nintendo 64’sMario Party. In Crazy Cutters, players must use the analog stick to trace along the outline of the given shape. There is a lot of skill involved in this minigame, and it can be tough for new players to get the hang of the tracing mechanic, but it is just as easy for seasoned players to make a mistake making this game a real toss-up.
Precision is key in this minigame, so taking the time to get every nook and cranny in the image at hand is a great way to score some extra points where opponents may miss.

5Messy Memory
Messy Memoryis a minigame that first came inMario Party 3. This Nintendo 64 minigame is all about memory, as players are tasked with remembering the order of 10 items that they are shown at the start of the game.

This minigame introduces a feature allowing players to close a curtain surrounding their finished product when they are ready. Utilizing this feature frequently can stop opponents with wandering eyes from using the player’s answers as their own.
4Booksquirm
Booksquirmis a classic minigame fromMario Party 4. In this game players make their way through a book as pages continuously turn, leaving only small openings for players to fit through.
Something players don’t always realize in this minigame is that the holes that players can go through are very exact, and a small deviation in standing location can cause players to be squashed by the falling page. Ruthlessly, players can also nudge their opponents a little should they be standing in the same opening, causing them to unknowingly be crushed by the page. Taking advantage of this tactic to sabotage opponents canmake this minigame intenseas players struggle to nudge one another to elimination.

3Paths of Peril
Paths of Perilreturns fromMario Party 4. In this minigame, players must carefully navigate through a winding maze without falling over the edge.Like other minigames inSuperstars, this game can be intense, especially for single Joy-Con users withouta Switch Pro Controller.
It is extremely easy to make a mistake in Paths of Peril, resulting in a fall and setback. A good way to succeed in this minigame is to take the time to be careful, especially around sharp corners and turns.

2Roll Call
InRoll Call, fromMario Party 2, players must count how many subjects are present in the scene in front of them. Using buttons to increase or decrease their guess, the player who is closest at the end of the timer wins.

Some tips for Roll Call would be to recount as many times as possible. Players will usually have extra time after their initial guess to change their answers. Using this time to count the subjects again can sometimes reveal things that were missed the first look through.
1Leaf Leap
Leaf Leap, originally fromMario Party 5, is a true test of players' skills. In this minigame, players must advance up a vine by jumping and choosing the left or right path. Only the next leaf in the jump will reveal itself, meaning players cannot plan in advance and must have a quick reaction time.
Tips for Leaf Leap, as with other minigames that require reaction time and have easy mistakes, taking the time to anticipate the next move rather than jumping wildly can help players avoid costly mistakes that can set them back multiple levels.
