Microsoft and Porsche have teamed up to create sixXbox Series Xconsoles and controllers to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the supercar manufacturer. Microsoft and Porsche have been teaming up since 2005 with their collaberations often revolving around theXbox-exclusiveForza Motorsportfranchise.
Limited edition consoles and controllers are nothing new for Microsoft. Therecently released XboxStarfieldcontrollerhas generated a lot of buzz despite being leaked ahead of the official announcement, but this is the first time that fans will see Xbox Series X consoles that are officially licensed by Porsche.

Duringthe Summer Games Fest 2023 presentationGeoff Keighley announced the latest collaboration between Microsoft and Porsche, which saw the introduction of the Xbox Series X and controller inspired by the Porsche 963 striped design. Now, the Richmond company has unveiled the remaining five consoles along with the matching controllers.
EachXbox Series Xconsole is designed with an iconic car in Porsche’s rich vehicular history in mind. The previously mentioned Porsche 963 tops the line-up and is joined by color schemes based on the 1970 Salzburg, 1978 Porsche Racing Edition, 1970’s “Hippie,” and the “Pink Pig” from 1971. The collection is rounded out by the classic Porsche 911 GT1 from 1998. It is worth remembering that players will not be able to buy these consoles, instead, fans will have to enter a prize draw to win one of the consoles. The draw runs until October 1 and is open to gamers in the US, UK, and Germany.
For fans outside of these regions, it may come as a disappointment that they aren’t able to participate in the giveaway, however, these aren’t the only consoles Microsoft is producing. During the Xbox Game Showcase, it was announced thata new Xbox Series S will be launching on September 1. The Carbon Black console will feature a 1TB hard drive as opposed to the current 512GB and will retail for $349.99.
The prize draw with Xbox isn’t the only gaming-related product from the German car manufacturer this year.Porsche recently announced a team-up with RECARO, a company that specializes in gaming chairs to create a seat based on those found in the Porsche 911. The collaboration does come at a high cost and retails for $2,499. This price may limit the market for the chair, but for fans of the car company, it is another product to consider adding to their gaming setups.
