Complete The Crossbow Unlock Challenge (Multiplayer)
In order to get the Crossbow in multiplayer, players willfirst need to reach level 55. There are amultitude of ways to level up fast in the game, ranging from using scorestreaks to making use of double XP events. Once players have reached level 55, they will get an unlock challenge that will allow them to get the Crossbow.Players will need 50 longshot kills with a Marksman Rifle. To qualify as a long shot, the target should be at least 38 meters away.
Loot Mercenary Caches
This is the hardest way to get the Crossbow in terms of sheer difficulty. Players will need toinfiltrate tier-three Infested Strongholds, which consists of a number ofcysts players need to destroy to unlock the caches. While some players have managed to complete it solo, it is recommended toattempt these with a party,as the zombies can easily outnumber players before they even realize it. Several players have reported that they got the Crossbow from these caches, but unlike the previous method, this is not a guaranteed way.

If players have a friend who already has a crossbow, this challenge can become a cakewalk. All players need to do is ensure that theirfriend drops the Crossbowand thenexfil itto get it permanently. If players don’t know anyone with a crossbow, they can alwaysreach out to random players in the chatand hope someone is generous enough to help. Many players obtain it this way, so it shouldn’t take long to get a crossbow using this method.
