Monster Hunter Risealready has so much content for players to sink their teeth into. Even before the latest version 2.0 update launched this week, many players have easily spent at least one hundred hours grinding for the bestMonster Hunter Riseweapons and armor sets. Now that the update is finally live, players will even have more content to dig into, including some new monsters that hunters can face off against and fight to get some new materials.
For fans that are wondering just what has been added to the game with this new patch, this guide will go over every new monster and some other useful information.

All New Monsters in Monster Hunter Rise 2.0
As far as new monsters go inMonster Hunter Riseversion 2.0, Capcom has added Chameleos, Teostra, Kushala Daora, Apex Rathalos, Apex Diablos, and also one other secret monster that Capcom didn’t even reveal during theMonster Hunterpresentation earlier this week.Bazelgeuse is the surprise monsterthat has been added to the game, which is a fire-elemental monster that was first introduced inMonster Hunter: Worldback in 2018.
Alongside the new monsters, Capcom has also added some new features and quests to the game for hunters to try out. New monsters will start appearing in Rampage, Village, and Hub quests; new Arena quests are available; new weapon trees, armor sets, items, and Petalaces make an appearance; new skills are available; and also,layered armor is now able to be forgedat the Smithy for hunters and their Palamute and Palico. There are also plenty of bug fixes that come with the update, too.
For players that are wondering about how much space the massive update will take up on the Switch will be happy to know that it’s only about one gigabyte in size. If players are starting outMonster Hunter Risefor the first time ever, the required update space will be closer to 1.5 gigabytes total.
Monster Hunter Rise May Update
It’s also worth noting that isn’t the only update coming to the game. Capcom is planning to release another big patch sometime in late May that will not only add new monsters, but will give players an actual ending toMonster Hunter Rise’s Kamura Village narrative. It’s not been confirmed which monsters will be making it into the game’s May update, but it’ll be exciting to see which ones Capcom decides to go with.
