Mortal Kombat 11is experiencing a bit of a resurgence thanks to the recent release of theAftermathexpansion. With three new DLC characters, new gameplay features, and some brand new story content, theAftermathexpansion has captured the attention of lapsed players and new fans alike. After playingMortal Kombat 11, some fans may be wondering who is voicing their favorite characters, particularly when it comes to fan favorite Sub-Zero.
Throughout most ofMortal Kombat 11, Sub-Zero is portrayed by celebrated voice actor Steve Blum, who has voiced the character sinceMortal Kombat X. However, there is an alternate Sub-Zero skin inMortal Kombat 11that uses a different voice actor. The Dimitri Vegas Sub-Zero skin features the likeness of the DJ, as well as his voice.

Dimitri Vegas' Sub-Zero performance isn’t the only voice acting that was criticized inMortal Kombat 11. As some may recall,Ronda Rousey’s turn as Sonya Bladealso drew a great deal of criticism at the time, with many feeling Rousey’s performance left a lot to be desired. Considering the reaction to the voice acting performances by Rousey and Vegas, it will be interesting to see if NetherRealm Studios sticks with professional voice actors for futureMortal Kombatgames and its next project.
As it stands, it remains to be seen exactly what NetherRealm’s next project will be. Rumors claim that NetherRealm is working on anInjustice 3video game, but that has yet to be confirmed. It’s possible NetherRealm will jump right in toMortal Kombat 12instead, especially with new consoles on the way, or maybe the studio is working on something completely different.
While it’s a long shot, it is possible that fans will get to see NetherRealm’s next project sooner rather than later. Warner Bros. was apparently going to have anE3 press conferencethis year, but with E3 canceled, it now has nowhere to show off its E3 announcements. It’s possible that the company will host some kind of event this summer in place of E3, and if so, there’s a chance the next game from NetherRealm could be present. Fans will just have to stay tuned to find out one way or the other.
