My Hero Academiawent on a sudden break last week due to unexplained reasons, however, the series returns this week with chapter 385 and while the wait was certainly very difficult for the fans to get through, it was worth it as the chapter delivered.

My Hero Academiais currently in its Final War Saga and with each passing chapter, the author has made sure to crank the heat up a notch, making sure all his fans stay glued to their seats in anticipation for the next chapter. This week, fans got a look at the group effort of the Heroesagainst All For One, who has just returned to his prime, and, eventually, the latter’s counterattack. As has been the case with the last few chapters, a number of characters made their return inMy Hero Academiachapter 385 as well and, as such, this chapter packed yet another surprisein the form of Stain.
The State Of The War
My Hero Academia385 began with a very important map that illustrated exactly what was going on where. The current war is being fought at a massive scale and, as such, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the fans get a tad lost at keeping track of everything. The author, Horikoshi, did very well to remind his fans which character is where and what their objectives are at the moment. Currently, the war is divided into three phases. The first phase is towards the east of All For One, where Shigaraki Tomurais fighting against Deku currently. Fans know that this is the ultimate fight in the Final War Saga and will decide the fate of the Hero world as a whole. Meanwhile, All For One is currently heading towards Shigaraki, however, the Heroes are doing their utmost best to stop him.
The group that’s currently attempting to stall him consists of Hawks and his student, Tokoyami, the students from Shiketsu High led by Inasa, Mt. Lady and Gigantomachia, who recently joined with Kirishima and Shinso, and other Heroes scattered around the area. The final phase is the area where Toga is the main threat at the moment. Her clones are mutually multiplying and it doesn’t seem that there is any end to them at the moment. Some Heroes, such as Uraraka, Tsuyu, and other students from Shiketsu are currently trying to stop her. While Endeavor is also fighting hisown battle against Dabi, it was not illustrated on the map for some reason.
All For One Strikes Back
My Hero Academia385 focused quite a lot on the fight that All For One was fighting to advance to Shigaraki, his goal. In the past few chapters, many Heroes came together to launch an all-out offense against him in order to keep him at bay, however, it was too easy for fans to notice that All For One would eventually break through them as he is way too powerful, and because he keeps growing stronger the more his body rewinds. In this chapter, All For One made it clear that the more his body rewinds, the harder it gets for him to control his animalistic urges.
His power was seen growing exponentially in this week’s chapter and, even though all the Heroes joined forces to keep him at bay, they failed.All For One proved to be too powerfuland his newfound abilities allowed him to rip a deep wound in the gut of Mt. Lady. This was soon followed up by a blow to Gigantomachia and, eventually, he blew away Dark Shadow’s Baldur with a powerful light beam. All For One mentioned that his younger body possesses tremendous amounts of power the usage of which he is absolutely relishing.

With Tokoyami down, All For One went in to steal his Quirk, however, Hawks came in his way and stabbed him through the chest, only to realize that it was futile. It appears that All For One started stealing Hawks' fierce wings Quirk as wings started growing on his back however, Mineta attempted to stop him in his path. Whether he will succeed in this or not remains to be seen.
Stain’s Return
My Hero Academiachapter 385 did not just focus on All For One. As his victory became apparent, the focus was soon shifted to other areas, such as the underground, where problems are brewing and Heroes such as Kendo and Tetsu Tetsu are dealing with them at the moment. Fans also got to see the return of characters such as Death Arms. For those who don’t remember, Death Arms quit as a hero after the Paranormal Liberation War following the criticism that the Heroes received. However, My Hero Academia chapter 385 showed everyone that, at his heart, he was still a Hero as, when parts of the ceiling were about to kill people around him, his body reacted on its own and prevented them from a gruesome fate.
Deku was there to give him strength and it was certainly a beautiful touch to the chapter. However, the biggest part ofMy Hero Academia385 came towards the end when fans got to see Todoroki finally get up after his bout with his brother. The war is not over for him just yet and he’s going to play a significant role soon. In a corner, fans were then shocked by the appearance of the Hero KillerbStain and, now, it’s time for him to make his move, just as every other major character has done over the course of the last few chapters.
