Season 5 ofNBA 2K22’s MyTeam is underway, and with it comes the official 1.10 update, the latest of the next-gen patch includedin the preparation of the new season. Several players received new facial scans to accurately replicate their likeliness, while former Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki now has his jersey hanging from the rafters of the Mavericks' arena in-game.
Included in theNBA 2K22update are several bug fixes, including gameplay issues such as players traveling up the court without dribbling and joy-con problems involving Jeremy Lin’s size-up animation. New ratings are also implemented to several players ahead of the new season, while bothMyCareer and MyTeam receive updatesto their modes.

This week’s newest challenge, titled Season 5: Power Within, focuses on players who reached legendary status in Season 4 to use their newfound power to achieve greatness and take on a series of challenges. Those who have not reached the legendary status will have the chance to do so and catch up in the new season, which begins today. The update brings life to MyTeam withthe introduction of more Diamond playersand the conclusion of two MyTeam Unlimited tournaments, with cash prizes of up to $25,000. With the return of Dynamic Ratings cards, a new Domination tier, and an animation-themed mural to work towards completing, players will have plenty of gaming ahead of the new week. Reaching level 40 will reward players with a 99 overall Dark Matter, the first time a card of this value is obtainable for free.
Performance improvements are improved while playing in The Moat in the Neighborhood, while reported glitch of basketball nets not loading into a game is now a thing of the past. Players can now enjoy their experience without these bugs and dive into the online action to begin collecting the 400 new player cards introduced in Season 5. Players can obtain more players throughout the week with new League and Premium packs and work towards picking up new unitslike the Diamond Opal Paull Millsapfor their collection. Adding him to the team will give everyone a major boost to their chances of reaching level 40, where a Dark Matter Ray Allen awaits them as their reward.
The anime-themed event will giveNBA 2K22players the chance of adding a new Galaxy Opal and Dark Matter player to their team.During Season 5 of MyTeam, each event will contain a Galaxy Opal reward player, while completing the player’s mural in the game will give players a Dark Matter card to add to their team. The event will only be available for this week, so players will have seven days to complete all the challenges to obtain the latest player cards.
