The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s nextSpider-Manfilm,No Way Home, will be the fourth MCU film of 2021 following the releases ofBlack Widow,Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, andThe Eternals. Now, Spider-Man fans have seen an action figure by Hot Toys and they noticed a blue substance emerging from the web-shooting device of the new suit, leading them to speculate that Peter Parker may be borrowing magic power from Doctor Strange during the upcoming film.
Spider-Man: No Way Homewill take place right whereSpider-Man: Far From Home’s mid-credits scene left off. At the start of the next film, Spider-Man will be a fugitive on the run, as he had been framed for the death of Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, who the majority of world citizens believed to be a hero. Not much else is known about the plot of the film at this time, though Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange andJamie Foxx’s Electrohave both been confirmed to appear in the film and will undoubtedly play pivotal roles.

Hot Toys posted images of theNo Way Homeaction figure on June 09, 2025, with one of them showcasing what appears to be a magic substance being wielded as a weapon by Spider-Man, as well as an emblem on his chest that appears to be made with the same blue energy. Based on the confirmation thatDoctor Strange will appear in the film, and based on the magic blue energy tied to the black and gold suit, fans believe that Doctor Strange and Peter Parker will collaborate on the suit during the film, though that belief is entirely entrenched in speculation and has not been confirmed.
Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man, along with longtime cast members Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. Jon Watts, director of the first two films, returns to directNo Way Home, as do the first two films' screenwriters, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. In addition to this,Alfred Molina will reprise his Doc Ock rolefromSpider-Man 2. There have been hints that one or both of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will appear in the film, but there has not been any official confirmation of either actor’s appearance.
Spider-Man: No Way Homeis an exciting film for the MCU in that fans will be eager to see how heroes from different specific franchises will be able to appear in each other’s films intermittently. This is something that the heroes are already able to do in Marvel Comics, so this style of character interaction is bound to make the films feel more like their comic source material. Plus, fans will no doubt be excited to see Spider-Man and Doctor-Strange interact onscreen for the first time sinceAvengers: Infinity WarandAvengers: Endgame.
Not only will the film showcase the wall-crawler action fans know and love from Spider-Man films, but it will also showcase avariety of new Spider-Man suits, not just the new black and gold design. How these suits factor into the film is a mystery fans can’t wait to see unfold.
