New World’s Truth and Consequences quest is composed of numerous steps, and while some of them are fairly simple to complete, that is not the case for absolutely all of them. Indeed, there are several places where fans may get lost during Truth and Consequences, and there are even some apparent bugs that are contributing to the confusion. For thoseNew Worldplayers that are currently stuck trying to get through the quest, this guide is here to provide assistance.
New World: Collect Captain’s Orders from Cannonstorm Pirates
The first part of Truth and Consequences is collecting Captain’s Orders from Cannonstorm Pirates, and it is perhaps the most straightforward step. Players should simply travel to Coffman’s Redoubt, which is northeast from the quest giver, and slay the pirates that they find there with their favoriteweapons inNew World. These pirates have a chance to drop the Captain’s Orders that are referenced by the quest step, and it should not take fans very long to get the eight that they need.

New World: Search for The Rigger’s Plea Journal Entry
Players must now locate ‘The Rigger’s Plea’ journal entry, and it is also situated in Coffman’s Redoubt. More specifically, it is sitting on a table on the second floor of the building that is at the quest waypoint. Notably, the journal entry glows bright blue, which should make it very easy forNew Worldfansto see.
New World: Travel to Letum’s Pick and Search for Evidence of Foul Play
After interacting with the journal, players will be told to travel to Letum’s Pick and search for evidence of foul play. That evidence takes the form of a set of bloody footprints on the road just east of Northfork onNew World’s map, and this is where things can get confusing. Indeed, some players may find that their quest waypoint is not pointing to the correct location, and the video that is above should clarify the matter for fans that are in that situation.
New World: Follow the Footprints on the Southern Road
Once a player has examined that first piece of evidence, they should follow the road south, interacting with each set of footprints that they encounter along the way. Eventually, this will cause the quest objective to update, and fans will find the end of the footprint trail upon reaching Sleepy Tallow, which is just northeast of Rattlevine Ridge. Players should now interact with that last footprint and then return to Sylvia Oakes to complete thisNew Worldquestand collect their rewards.
