New in-game data from Blizzard’s latest hit indicated that 1.6% of all player deaths inDiablo 4were caused by the same boss.Diablo 4has a huge variety of deadly enemies, but one stands tall among the crowd as the deadliest killer in the game.Diablo 4has been a huge hit, smashing all previous Blizzard records since its release. Not only has the game became the fastest-selling title ever made by Blizzard, but it managed to get rave reviews and be played by gamers for over 276 million hours so far. During this time, 2.73 billion monsters were killed, and players died 316,991,632 times. However, one statistic stands out, as players are mostly dying to one enemy at an alarmingly high rate.RELATED:Burger King in South Korea Selling Diablo 4 ‘Lilith Burger’Recently, games journalist Paul Tassi spotted that 1.6% of allDiablo 4deaths were caused by the Butcher. This dreadful boss was responsible for killing characters 429,792 times, according to Blizzard’s official data. The Butcher is a secret boss inDiablo 4. He was originally the first boss inDiablo, but is pretty hard to find, as he appears randomly in dungeons. Often considered one of the hardest bosses in the game, the difficulty of the Butcher is increased because players don’t know where he will spawn, and they may be underprepared when facing this huge monster.

In the comments of the post, most people seemed to agree with Tassi. The whole thread is full of stories ofpeople facing the Butcherand then dying quickly, with only a few of them being able to win. ScandyAndy, for instance, said it was so hard to kill thisDiablo 4boss that they were expecting an achievement for doing so, and were mildly disappointed when they didn’t get it. Curiously, other players such as Monk050 never found him, despite finishing the game and having level 51, as it’s impossible to be guaranteed to find the secret boss.

In-game data from Blizzard also recently unveiledDiablo 4’s most popular class: the Sorcerer. Despite not being present inDiablo 3, the Sorcerer was always a popular class since its debut in the originalDiablo, alongside the original Butcher. While this doesn’t mean that the Sorcerer is the best class inDiablo 4, as that is pretty much dependent on player skill and how they use each character, it’s a versatile, powerful class that became a fan-favorite very quickly.

Diablo 4is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
