One Piecemanga has shifted its focus away from the pirates toward the Revolutionaries. After Sabo made a not-so-shocking appearance inOne PieceChapter 1082, Oda has been slowly revealing the details of the Marijoa incident. The author finally disclosed the other goals of the Revolutionary Army aside from rescuing Bartholomew Kuma.

They went to Marijoa to destroy the hoof, which has acted as the symbol of the Celestial Dragons for centuries. These residents of Marijoa use the symbol to brand all their slaves. The destruction of the hoofwas the Revolutionary Army’s declarationof war. Needless to say, it did not go down well with the Celestial Dragons, and many of them openly wanted the Revolutionaries to be prosecuted. The Marines could not afford to stand by, so they sent Fujitora and Ryokugyu, their two best fighters, to defeat the Revolutionary Army. Before the two Admirals could reach their destination, the Revolutionary Army had successfully destroyed the food supplies. This left only one objective: to rescue Kuma and the other slaves. While thethree Revolutionary Army commanderskept the Admirals busy, Sabo went to find the key to Kuma’s collar. While the Revolutionary Army was running rampant, there was a crucial meeting taking place in Marijoa that involved Nefertari Cobra and the Five Elders.

Why Did Cobra Meet Them?

Nefertari Cobra was outside the door of the Five Elders along with Chaka and Pell, but the security refused to let his bodyguards enter the room. Cobra didn’t seem bothered by the demands of the palace guards, so he asked Chaka and Pell to go and look after Vivi. Cobra said that he was worried about her, and it would be better if someone trustworthy looked after her. Shortly afterward, Cobra entered the room and began to speak to the Five Elders.

Cobra started the conversation with how the twenty kings that created the World Government moved to Marijoa. He said that the twenty kings were all equal, which is why they placed their weapons around the Empty Throne. This symbolized that they would never lay claim to it. Cobra continued to talk, and he said that as the kings decided to stay in Marijoa, the kingdoms that lost their royal families ended up selecting new rulers. Cobra also confirmed that the names of the twenty dynasties no longer appear in their respective countries, except for the ruler of Alabasta.

Imu goes to the throne

As previously stated, the king, or in this case, the queen of Alabasta at that time, decidedagainst becoming a Celestial Dragon. Nefertari Lily chose to go back and rule Alabasta. However, Cobra made the shocking admission that Lily’s name was nowhere to be found in the record books. He stated that Lily never returned to Alabasta; instead, her younger brother sat on the throne. The Five Elders told him that it was a fact that Lily went back to Alabasta. However, they no longer have the records, and they had been lost to time.

Cobra had no other choice but to accept their answer. He followed up with another question, and this time it was related to the word “D.” The Five Elders were puzzled why Cobra would ask such a question, but before they could answer, Imu emerged and sat on the Empty Throne.

The Sovereign Appears

Both of Cobra’s questions made the Five Elders very uncomfortable, but they couldn’t express their frustration openly. When the Five Elders saw Imu sitting on the Empty Throne, they were shocked. The first question that came to their minds was, “Why did Imu make their presence known?” Cobra was also taken aback afterhe saw Imu sitting on the throne. Before sitting on the throne, Imu said, “Lily,” which strongly implies that she might be connected to the secret of the world.

Considering that Cobra saw Imu, it is not surprising that the former was killed. They could not allow the king of Alabasta to leave after learning of the biggest secret of the World Government. If Cobra were to divulge this information, it would send the entire world into a frenzy. Before Cobra is murdered, it is possible that he will learn more things about Imu and the history of the world. Furthermore, Sabo shouldn’t be too far away from the throne room either. Judging from his conversation with Dragon, Sabo knows about Imu and the secret of the Empty Throne. Imu’s destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom also implies that Sabo saw the things that took place in the room. Otherwise, they would not have taken matters into their own hands unless there wasn’t a big risk involved. Clearly, they could not let Saboreveal the truth to Dragon. So, they tried to erase the Lulusia Kingdom, but Sabo somehow managed to survive. The next chapters will focus on Cobra, Sabo, and the other characters in the throne room. Oda will not reveal the identity of Imu, as it may be a bit early for it. But fans can expect to learn more about the truth about the D and why the World Government is so wary of it. There is also a chance that Oda might reveal what happened to Shirahoshi, Sai, and the other people who were involved in a struggle with a Celestial Dragon.
