Overwatch 2players are asking Blizzard to add a new feature to the game’s Auto Queue system that will allow them to cancel their matchmaking search at the end of a game. Continuing on from the success ofOverwatch,Overwatch 2gives players a similar experience of team-based, FPS action. Considering the success of the first game and the fact that Blizzard made its sequel free-to-play,Overwatch 2has seen a huge amount of playersjoining its servers in the time since its release.
WhileOverwatch 2has had a lot of players battling each other in its casual and competitive modes, some fans have been pointing out the various problems in Blizzard’s latest shooter. Firstly, plenty ofOverwatch 2fans found that they couldn’t actually play the game when they wanted to log in due to the mass amount of people trying to join at launch. Since then, Blizzard has been working on plenty of other issues, including one problem that meant players couldn’tunlock theirOverwatch 2heroesdespite having earned them with the battle pass.

Now, players are again asking Blizzard to make a change toOverwatch 2, specifically in regard to its Auto Queue function. Reddit user MyGoodFriendJon pointed out that there should be an option to cancel Auto Queue matchmaking following a game’s end. Currently, players can’t simply click cancel and have to stop their search after it has begun. While this isn’t a major problem inOverwatch 2, it would be a nice additional feature according to many players, as it would prevent them from automatically searching for another match even if they don’t want to.
Auto Queue can be turned off in the game’s settings, but for many in the comments of MyGoodFriendJon’s post, it would make sense for it to have a cancelation button, allowing for players to continually search for more matches until they wished to stop playing. Other comments also pointed out that Auto Queue is not available in all ofOverwatch 2’sgame modes, which creates another annoyance when players finish a match and have to manually queue for their next one. To some, this sticks out as a part of a larger problem with the game’s UI, something that has also been criticized, especially on the screen forOverwatch 2’sbattle pass.
A lot of comments described the new UI as feeling “rushed,” giving a further criticism to Blizzard’s latest title.Overwatch 2faced a fairly large delay before it’s PvP mode was released a few weeks ago, but even though Blizzard gave itself more time to work on the game, some parts of it feel unfinished to certain fans. It seems for now that Blizzard is focusing on other issues in the game, namely problems such as the one that causedOverwatch 2’sBastion and Torbjorn to be removed from competitive play.
