The code translates to “What does the fox say?” This is in reference to “The Fox” by Ylvis, a bizarre song that exploded in popularity in 2013, with a music video that has surpassed 1 billion views, and it’s also clearly a nod to the newOverwatch 2fox hero, who has been hinted at in other ways for quite some time.
TheOverwatch 2fox hero was first leaked years ago, and then Blizzard included a direct reference to the hero on theKanezaka deathmatch mapwith the “yokai” spray paint. Blizzard also teased the fox hero with the bigOverwatch 2trailer that released as part of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, though it was a relatively small detail in the trailer that many fans may have missed.
