Paliais a cozy life sim whisking players away to a magical world filled with charming characters to meet, day-to-day tasks to complete, and even a mystery or two to solve.Palia’s main story focuses on the player assisting Jina in the exploration and study of ancient ruins around the region. The player will start on this journey shortly after entering the world ofPalia,and will face various puzzles and challenges along the way.
Their player’s progression through this series of quests eventually leads to the activation of a mysterious panel featuring a constellation, which prompts the player to turn in bundles of items. Here’s everything players need to know about getting their hands on the items for these bundles, and completing the quest “Vault of Waves” inPalia.
How to Unlock the “Vault of Waves” Quest
Bundlesare a mechanic that players will first encounter during“Vault of Waves.”This quest is part of the main story quest line, available shortly after the player first enters Palia. It is the fifth quest in this storyline, so players have a few other quests to complete first.
The first two quests in this series are“Welcome to Palia”and“Ancient Battery,”which task the player with exploring the mystery of an ancient item uncovered on their housing plot. The player must then complete the quest“Like a Bird.”Completing this quest unlocks use of the Glider, a valuable tool for navigating the world of Palia, required for the next quest in the series.

After obtaining the Glider, head back to Jina, who is still found in the temple where the player completed the previous quest. Jina will offer a new quest,“Echoes of the Unknown,”requiring the player to delve deeper into the temple and solve puzzles. Upon completing the investigation tasks, return to Jina once more to receive the"Vault of Waves"quest.
How to Complete “Vault of Waves” Quest
Jina will offer a new quest,“Vault of Waves,”asking the player to meet her at nearby ruins located near the Daiya Family Farm. Head to theNight Sky Templelocated in the cave wall north of the farm. Inside, players will discover Jina and Hekla focusing their attention on a large stone wall featuring a strange, glowing mural.
Speak with Jina
Jina is excited that the player’s efforts in the previous quest have activated part of the mural. The player is then instructed to interact with a mysterious stone device located in front of the mural. There are multiple devices, but only one features the same bright purple glow as the patterns on the wall.
Interact with the Glowing Stone Device
Interacting with the glowing device opens a new menu, informing the player that they have unlocked an Ancient Vault and introducing a new mechanic,Bundles. The player is presented with a constellation map featuring a large fish andfour nodes labeled with “0/4.”
Each node requires the player to complete a bundle by turning in four specific items. Keeping with the theme of this constellation, many of the items required to complete the bundles are obtained via fishing, with few others acquired via other methods. Some of the fish are quite rare, so the player should be prepared to invest significant time to get all the required items.

Collect Items to Complete Bundles
To complete the fish constellation activated by the first stone device, the player must gather items to complete four separate bundles, one bundle for each node and each bundle requiring four unique items. Here’s where to find each item required tocomplete all four bundles. Completing a bundle will reward a variety of helpful items, including gold, bait, recipes, and other goodies.
Catch in Bahari Bay near rivers and ponds.

Cook after obtaining recipe in Einar’s Cave after reaching Level 3 Friendship with Einar. Requires High Quality (★) ingredients.
Purchase from Zeki’s General Store in Kilima Village.
Giant Goldfish
Catch in ponds near Kilima Village or in Bahari Bay using Glow Worm as bait.
Catch near Kilima Village during morning/day.
Vampire Crab
Catch near Flooded Fortress in Bahari Bay between the in-game hours of 6 pm and 3 am.
Mutated Angler
Catch in Pavel Mines in Bahari Bay using Worm as bait.
Void Ray
Catch in Pavel Mines in Bahari Bay using Glow Worm as bait.
With all four bundles completed and turned in, the player will receive exclusive rewards and Renown. Upon completing “Vault of Waves,” there is no subsequent story quest available at this time in Palia’s Open Beta.
Paliais currently available in Open Beta on PC. It will fully release on PC and Nintendo Switch at a later date.
