Phasmophobia’s latest Update v0.9.6.0, also known as the Easter 2024 update, added a special two-week event to mark the holiday period. It also delivered a long list of bug fixes and other changes, including a facelift for the game’s ID cards system. However, the 0.9.6.0 build ofPhasmophobia, which is considered to be one of thebest horror games on Steam, still has one known issue. According to the changelog, this manifests in a lobby effect not showing up even after the event has been completed.

A player’s ID card displays their stats and in-game progress, while achievements can be tracked throughPhasmophobia’s collectibles and trophies. Like pastPhasmophobiacampaigns, the Easter 2024 event will reward players who have completed a series of objectives with a special ID card badge and trophy.

The game’s previous v0.9.5.0 update overhauled the in-game equipment shop, while the patch before that introduced anew lighting system forPhasmophobiathat featured technologies like Eye Adaptation and Screen Space Global Illumination, or SSGI. As a result of the significant changes that Update v.0.9.4.0 made to the game’s lighting,Phasmophobia’s visuals have become much more realistic, which, in turn, has improved the title’s already immersive atmosphere.

In a roadmap that was unveiled in January, Kinetic Games revealed that it wantsPhasmophobiato get a full release in 2024. This 1.0 launch will come with new ghost models, new interactions, as well as reworks for the hunt mechanic and events, among other things. Meanwhile, there is still no word on when thedelayed console versions ofPhasmophobiawill be released. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S ports ofPhasmophobiawere set to be released last August, but that date was moved to October following a fire that occurred at the Kinetic Games office. However, the console versions ofPhasmophobiawere delayed again, this time indefinitely, partly because the team faced difficulties with adjusting to a remote working environment.
