The flower on its neck has changed shape and is primarily pink. A fellow fan identified the flower around its neck as that of a Anthurium plant. This choice of flower plays into the Pokemon’s new typing, as the artist explained that it’s toxic to cats, dogs, and horses. It’s a clever choice to change up Meganium’s typing without making a massive change to its overall silhouette and design.
Pokemonplayers seem to be enthusiastic about the Pokemon, with several joking about its facial expression. Others compared it toKung Fu Panda’s Master Oogway, as while it’s not a turtle, its face does bear a resemblance.
